Hey Enid, fancy coming around for dinner ??

We also do a scrummy steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce with garlicky potatoes and fresh veg.

Enid · 03/03/2006 11:26

mm yum

arent you cooking the steaks at the last minute though (am massive fan of make-ahead)?

poppadum · 03/03/2006 11:27

Where I live ( london) black trousers and a colourful top, with maybe one nice piece of jewellery, seem to be the standard.

LadySherlockofLGJ · 03/03/2006 11:28

Enid my dear girl, my DH does it all....Grin

LadySherlockofLGJ · 03/03/2006 11:30

So....... I serve drinks and chat and he takes a pint into the kitchen and cooks. Sorted Grin

Enid · 03/03/2006 11:34

oh cool

we do it the other way round (except if it is Sunday roast when he always cooks it)

BudaBabe · 03/03/2006 11:35

Enid and LGJ - sounds yummy - I want to come to dinner!

cod - LGJ has some lovely boots she can lend you!!!

I love dinner parties! Either here or at someone's house. Our usual strategy is to get every pissed before dinner so they think whatever food they have is delish!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 03/03/2006 11:38

cod · 03/03/2006 11:38

Ooh, I want the lamb from their Cook range, it's gorgeous, with pine nuts. And roasted veg that I don't have to cut up, just shove in the oven. And spinach and peas.

Enid · 03/03/2006 12:09

ooh do you mean the lamb chops? with pine nuts pressed round htem - they ARE good. Dh bought them when I forced him to go and buy a ready meal and we were really impressed.

WideWebWitch · 03/03/2006 12:11

Yes, I do, they're fab aren't they? In fact everything we've had from that range has been. Dh used to get them for when I walked in at 8.30 on Friday night having been away all week.

CountessDracula · 03/03/2006 19:23
