I thought I'd list the things I am loving at the moment and the things I need want.

Chanel Horizon Limited edition blusher. Horrifically expensive but sooo pretty and it will last forever, lots of different colours etc etc. And actually it was boots points so it didn't count Smile

Benefit brows kit. I'm loving this!

Yon ka pamplemousse cream. I actually got this in full size from Joliebox (which I'm finding much better than Glossybox) and it is gorgeous. I have normal/dry skin and it sinks it beautifully but feels so moisturising. I bet there are some cheap ones to be snapped up on ebay, it may well become my new favourite - the smell is fantastic.

Nails - China Glaze in poinsetta and Opi in Dulce du Leche.

Dermablend concealer. Another sample. Why o why have I not discovered this before? Knocks all others out of the water for me.

Wants.

YSL eclat foundation/by terry sheer cover - have sampled both of these and they are great - By Terry is just incredible (I'm wine on another thread, it was name change time)

A new tube mascara. Clinique dries up too fast. Any suggestions? Currently eyeing up deja vu ones.

Naked 2 palette. Worth it?

A toner. Or something. Are toners still what people are using? I use the hot cloth method with oil. But I don't feel I've got the inbetween stage right. Has anyone tried the Liquid Gold AHA stuff? I'm interested but have quite sensitive skin.

Right enough of me. Please add your finds/wants for me to browse and covet.

Watching with interest

valiumredhead · 10/07/2012 11:19

Naked @ pallette not worth it imo. First one is tons more wearable.

valiumredhead · 10/07/2012 11:20

2 not @

rabbitonthemoon · 10/07/2012 12:14

The bluey shade is more grey - I wear it a lot, it's very wearable.

rabbitonthemoon · 10/07/2012 16:19

Naked One palette is excellent - not looked at Two yet.

Things I am liking:

  • Benetint (gosh, I love this so much)
  • Aveeno exfoliating face fash (cheap as chips and as good as the Clarins and Origins ones I've used in the past)
  • Aveda Hand Relief - love the smell

Things I am NOT liking -

  • Max Factor foundation (it used to be fine - maybe I'm just getting too old for cheap foundation)
  • Max factor nail varnish - crap
  • Lancome Hypnose - Definicils is a zillion times better

Things I'm after -

  • a red lipstain/stick that is good (Benetint is rubbish on lips and my Lancome one just makes my lips all dry and goes into horrible lines)
  • a nail varnish the colour of crushed raspberries
  • something to stop my hair looking so fine and flat at the roots but which won't make my poor scalp even worse than it is
spanishring · 10/07/2012 21:24

Rabbit, Alpha H is fine on sensitive skin. My skin feels so nice in the mornings and I alternate with Clarins lotus oil.

jumpinghoops · 10/07/2012 21:28

Remus have you looked at the Revlon lip butters? Candy Apple is a nice red, but more warm than cool toned, not sure if that's what you're looking for.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 10/07/2012 21:38

Wish-List.
The Eyelash (Revitalash) serum that makes them grow. Hideously expensive but I have crap eyelashes without eyelash curlers and mascara.

Which brings me to Finds:
Mally Mascara. Helps to boost the aforementioned rubbish eyelashes.

L'Occitane :
almond shower gel. Smooth skin that smells lovely
Honey and orange soap. Smile

Housewifefromheaven · 10/07/2012 21:53

Likes:

Kerastassse hair elixir
Bare minerals night treatment (I do my night routine early so this makes me look less like a bare faced bag o' spanners)
Estée perfectionist for my creases before I succumb to Botox
Chanel rouge coco lippy in style, a great nude shade
Eucerin q10 anti wrinkle day spf15
Elemis papaya enzyme stuff

Don't like:

Decleor hydra floral face wash and anti pollution cream (too greasy)
Berber oil
Clinique ddm

There's more ill add when I remember

Meh (ok not enough to keep buying)

El c&p (remember I'm waiting for Emma hardie)
Elemis pro collagen range
Clinique turnaround night
Decleor neroli oil

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/07/2012 22:18

Thanks JumpingHoops - will check it out.

mamamila · 10/07/2012 22:38

best finds of recent times..

  1. estee lauder concealer in little blue tube, absolutely perfect, no fine lines, stays put
  2. clinique high definition mascara
  3. label m volume foam, first ever weightless volumiser that really works, cannot live without
  4. dior nude foundation, i still miss the purelight but this is also a can't live without
  5. estee lauder bronzer
  6. clinique fake tan for face - subtley golden, builds up nicely with daily use
  7. boots time delay serum - cheap as chips and perfectly good primer
  8. shiseido eye serum - way too expensive, but at duty free in foreign currency without thinking it over too much, it lasts for months and it will make you so happy!
KateSpade · 10/07/2012 22:45

Can any of you ladies recomend a cream to help my forehead lines. I'm only 23 and cant believe they are visible!

I'm loving..

My clarisonic
My kerastase blow-dry balm
Essie Nail Varnish
The new St Tropez fake tan, that somehow senses your natural skin colour and goes a natural shade relating
YSL foundation - sample today, very good
Ardel Demi Wispies lashes

mamamila · 11/07/2012 18:02

katespade only botox will make the forehead lines 'disappear' and prevent more

QuinnFabray · 11/07/2012 18:13

La Roche-Posay Physiological Soothing toning is really nice. It's what I use after cream cleansing, to get rid of any residue. Alcohol and paraben free too.

I love Clarins lotus oil, the new Revlon kissable pencil balm things, Real Techniques brushes, Missha BB cream ( it's korean ), MAC spf 50 primer. And a Barry M mascara, the one in the purple tube.

Virgil · 11/07/2012 18:15

Oo I am loving cane and austin acid peel pads. They are fab. I have the stronger ones and have been using them for a month with good results.

cocolepew · 11/07/2012 18:36

Ive a cheapy for you, Barbara Daley for Tesco Radiant Glow. It can be used under or over your foundation. . I mix it with foundation or if I have a tan I use it on my cheeks and over my nose, instead of using blusher.

Its not sparkly but makes my skin look really nice (when its really not).

Cartoonjane · 11/07/2012 18:40

I've just used a sample of Dior Forever foundation and love it. Hope to buy some soon.

DonaAna · 11/07/2012 18:52

Love Chanel blushers. Good buy!
Loved Dior Forever and Nude too, but became allergic to both within months.
Essie nail varnish is very good.

What do I need?

Would like to try Chantecaille and Armani foundations.
Maybe a new Chanel eyeshadow palette.
More Chanel Hydra Beauty Serum (addicted to it)
a backup of Coco Rouge in Cambon (in case they discontinue it)
there is also a new EL primer I wanted to try
Will need to buy a new pink Gloss d'Armani soon.
and a lighter shade of the wonderful Shiseido brow pencil
Oh and some OPI Top Coat.

madmomma · 11/07/2012 18:57

Ooh I want some more advanced night repair, some eve lom cleanser and a fabulous new body cream/lotion. Any recommendations? I want something with a silky finish and a beautiful fragrance

ihatethecold · 11/07/2012 19:15

I have recently discover This Works facial oil. It smells amazing and makes my skin lovely. I found some in tk maxx for £15 instead of £30.
I don't know what I'm gonna do when it's finishedSad

I love Emma hardie eye serum.
Would love to get her face balm again!

Clarins tinted moisturiser is fab

Bobbie brown pot rouge.

Not liking the new, expensive Clarins mascara i bought. It's utter shite.
Or the stila eye shadow palette, waste of my £25 boots points

JemimaPuddle · 11/07/2012 19:27

Really loving at the moment:
New CID primer & New CID setting spray - at last my makeup stays on all day
Emma Hardie balm (have been using since March)
Queen Helene Mint Julep mask - so cheap & has really helped get rid of blackheads
Decleor Ylang Ylang serum, I'd used Neroli for a while but tried Ylang ylang when my skin was really breaking out & it's really balanced it out & I don't get so shiny anymore
Alpha H smoothing mask - really looks like you've had a facial

I have a massive drawer full of beauty products to try/use so I am trying not to buy anything new & am eBaying a load of
my stash. Wish list is for when I've used everything up or cave in!

Wish list:
Salicylic Acid peel - still BF dd2 so can't use it but I'm desperate to give it a go. I've asked my doctor & the pharmacist but no one can tell me why I shouldn't use it?!
Argan oil - have very fine hair and not a lot of it but its coloured & gets very dry ends, hopefully this will help.
The perfect blusher - have a few lovely ones but still would like to find the perfect not too pink, not too peach one.

KateSpade · 11/07/2012 20:25

Thats what i thought, however Im not quite ready for botox yet and hope to hold out till I'm 30 at least.

Im not sure how visible they are & i am trying to be optimistic!
