I thought I'd list the things I am loving at the moment and the things I need want.

Chanel Horizon Limited edition blusher. Horrifically expensive but sooo pretty and it will last forever, lots of different colours etc etc. And actually it was boots points so it didn't count Smile

Benefit brows kit. I'm loving this!

Yon ka pamplemousse cream. I actually got this in full size from Joliebox (which I'm finding much better than Glossybox) and it is gorgeous. I have normal/dry skin and it sinks it beautifully but feels so moisturising. I bet there are some cheap ones to be snapped up on ebay, it may well become my new favourite - the smell is fantastic.

Nails - China Glaze in poinsetta and Opi in Dulce du Leche.

Dermablend concealer. Another sample. Why o why have I not discovered this before? Knocks all others out of the water for me.

Wants.

YSL eclat foundation/by terry sheer cover - have sampled both of these and they are great - By Terry is just incredible (I'm wine on another thread, it was name change time)

A new tube mascara. Clinique dries up too fast. Any suggestions? Currently eyeing up deja vu ones.

Naked 2 palette. Worth it?

A toner. Or something. Are toners still what people are using? I use the hot cloth method with oil. But I don't feel I've got the inbetween stage right. Has anyone tried the Liquid Gold AHA stuff? I'm interested but have quite sensitive skin.

Right enough of me. Please add your finds/wants for me to browse and covet.

JemimaPuddle it's because Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in aspirin which can cause very rare but potentially serious illness in children. That's why kids can't have aspirin (surprised a dr and pharmacist didn't know this)

Pinot4Pattykins · 12/07/2012 09:35

Cocoa Oil from Poundland! It works a treat on dry ends.

St Moritz fake tan. £2.99 from Bodycare and actually very very good.

Tweezerman tweezers. I never saw the difference because they were just tweezers, right? Wrong. I love them.

Wet & Wild brow kit in 'Cool'. Perfect shades for my brows with three eyeshadows, a mini mirror and a little slanted brush that works well once you get used to it at the cost of about £3.

Asda's High Lights or something. It's a knock off of Benefit's High Beam for £2.99.

MUA and Asda £1 nail varnishes. So many dupes of Essie and OPI colours that work well with a top coat.

Wants: Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, a new NAKED palette, NARS Orgasm, Claudalie mist.

ihatethecold · 12/07/2012 09:50

katespade.. my friend had a deep number 11 lines on her forehead and she swears that liz earle superskin oil has done wonders for her lines.

you can buy a small vial of it or splash out on a large one for £40.

i must admit , her skin is looking more line free

ihatethecold · 12/07/2012 09:55

also katespade.. whats the proper name for the karastase blow dry balm that you love,

Ive tried to look online but couldn't find it.

i have thick long straight hair , do you know if its suitable for this type of hair?

all the stuff they sell in boots is pretty crap really for blow drying long hair!

aquavit · 12/07/2012 10:54

yes yes katespade, what is the kerastase balm?

New (to me) things I love right now:
kerastase volumactive shampoo and 'dish (rediscovered)
bumble and bumble straight
rouge coco shine (in boy and monte carlo - Remus monte carlo is a fantastic sheer red)
essie nail polish in 5th avenue (coral-ish red)
NYR wild rose beauty balm used as cleanser
30 day shred (am so full of energy since starting it, I'm VERY irritating at the moment)

I am seriously underwhelmed by:
Kerastase elixir ultime

I want:
Liz Earle shampoo and 'dish (have just ordered it)
A really delicious smelling body lotion - watching for recs...

CapuccinoCannoliLover · 12/07/2012 11:14

I am a lipstick junkie and have a stupid amount already, but I want more! On a daily basis at home or pre-school run, I make sure my hair and skin are washed, clean and clear, eyebrows tidy, but a slick of lipstick brightens my face - even more so in the cold months when I'm paler. I then add eye make-up, primer, tint and blush by Mac if I'm going out somewhere I want to look nice. Starting to use Elemis papaya peel and Redken sulphate-free shampoo. I am coveting Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks at the mo, more Opi or Essie nail colours and a Chanel eyeshadow palette. RemusLupin - agree re Max Factor nail varnish. Used to be pretty good, but chips too easily now.

ihatethecold · 12/07/2012 11:29

aquavit, i got a small sample bottle of liz earle poo and dish, it was not good, smelt nice but useless on my long hair. conditioner didn't even touch the sides Sad

azazello · 12/07/2012 11:53

I really truly love Aveda Rosemary and Mint shampoo and conditioner. I have fine but dryish hair which looked like it was a mouse asleep on my head by the end of the day. I now look sleekish 2 days after washing. It is more expensive than normal but I bought the small pots at the start of May and they are only half used. Will definitely buy again.

I also love By Terry concealer and foundation but it is too heavy at the moment.

Wants:
Some pretty eyeliners

A face cream which gives lots of moisture to really dry skin so it sorts out my red patch but also has spf

Tinted moisturiser for 'summer'

Itsgottabebags · 12/07/2012 12:44

Love Aveda dry remedy hair masqu conditioner
Love Liz Earle/Eve Lom
Love Aldi Lacura pressed powder
Love the chanel nail colours not so much their performance.
Love my chanel lipstick in Boy.
Rediscovered and am using my chanel eyeshadow quad in Les naurals I think it is called (metallic grey, black, green and gold)
Like Nars Orgamsm and Laguna

Want to try
The boots poppy king range
Revlon bitter stain lipbalms/clinique chubby sticks
Keratse oreo curl

Kaloobear · 12/07/2012 14:00

lauratheexplorer if you want Nars Orgasm but would rather get a bargain try Sleek's Rose Gold blusher. I swear it is identical. A little goes a VERY long way so you need to tap the brush and blend, blend, blend. Its amazing stuff.

aquavit · 12/07/2012 16:39

ihatethecold shhhhh, I've just spent loads of money on it!!

fortunately have a bit of my excellent Aveda damage remedy dish left so will at least be able to top it up with that if nec

Liz Earle have already sent me a sample of their cleanse and polish, I like the cleanser but the muslin cloth is way too harsh for me, does anyone just use it as a face wash? does it work like that?

ParsleyTheLioness · 12/07/2012 18:05

aqua try it with a face cloth maybe? Don't think you'd get the same benefit just rinsing it off.

Msarsebiscuit · 12/07/2012 18:30

Agree with Kaloo, Sleek's Rose Gold is just like Orgasm.

For beauty finds, Sleek as a whole is very good, Bourjois One Second nail varnish and mascara are both excellent, Barbara Daly's pen eye colours are lovely as are Avon Supershock eyeliners.

. My favourite higher end products ( at the moment ) are Chanel Boy ( again ), Giorgio Armani Silk foundation, Mac Bare Again lipstick, Make Up Forever HD Liquid Blush and my Tom Ford nail colour. Favourite skincare of the moment is Astalift.

On my wish list is Tom Ford cream eye colour in a platinum shade, and, since hearing about them yesterday, Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner pens and Hourglass Film Noir mascara.

CapuccinoCannoliLover · 13/07/2012 10:04

Ooh, have to add Mac lustre lipstick (my other Mac lipsticks are matt), it has just arrived in the post so needless to say it has gone straight on. It glides on like a dream, has the right amount of shine and has made my lips look like pouty (not trouty) perfection, hurray! Will be adding more colours to my list now....

LoveTheCarbs · 13/07/2012 13:53

Likes:

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation- makes my skin look great in life and in photos. Used Chanel vitalumiere before that and Estee Lauder is much better imo.

Bobbi Brown Bronzer in A... (can't remember the name) for a bit of all over colour.

Nars Orgasm blusher

Benefit Bad Lash mascara

Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner - does not shift!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser

Wants: a new lipstick, got some ideas from here, thanks, so looking forward to a bit of shopping. And I'll have to give that Liz Earle serum a go for my forehead lines. Smile

KateSpade · 13/07/2012 21:28

The Kerastase stuff worked on my hair and weave extensions (too thick and too long) and now I've took them out it does wonders for my fine hair aswell. I really like it, and would probably re-purchase.

I think i may try some out ihatethecold I do love a bit of Liz earle.

yesterday i purchased the bliss triple oxygen Instant energising mask, anyone tried it?
