Flat tan sandals- show me your best ones...

I want some flat, comfortable tan leather sandals with a bit of a sole, ie not wafer-thin.

I quite liked these on the Clarks website, but the back bit looked really uncomfortable and they have sold out now anyway.

I need a size 7 or 8.

Any nice ones out there?

Cos had some lovely ones in store, and Massimo Dutti too. Am in a rush so no links sorry but worth a look.

MidnightinMoscow · 25/06/2012 18:38

tethers, these are really comfortable.

doglover · 25/06/2012 19:00

Fitflop Gogh Slide - bliss!

Squitch · 25/06/2012 19:01

Those Clarks ones are really uncomfortable at the back, I had a similar pair last year from there. However, I took them back and said they were really uncomfortable but I loved them and they softened the leather for me (I don't know how, and I don't want to - I have visions of one of the staff wearing them round their house for a week with two pairs of socks and sandals smothered in vaseline) - but it worked and they are now the most comfortable pair of sandals I've ever owned.

I don't know if this is a service that Clarks offer generally or if I just live next to a Clarks with the nicest assistants EVER (this is a possibliity, they are lovely)

I've got these in tan and chocolate and they are really comfortable (I'm a size 8)

I have those Clarks ones and it took about a week with plasters on the backs of my heels and now they're great, really comfortable and make my feet look lovely and slim (size 8 feet don't often feel like that!). That probably doesn't help as you say they're all sold out now, but just wanted to share...

ChablisLover · 25/06/2012 20:22

Don't tell me those Clarks are uncomfortable. I ordered them last week!

CaffeineDeficit · 25/06/2012 20:28

Like Midnight, I've got a pair of the Topshop Houpla. Gorgeous colour, and more comfy than you might expect for the thickness of the sole.

mylittleprincess3455 · 25/06/2012 20:39

tethersend · 25/06/2012 22:25

Thanks all.

monkeys, couldn't find any tan ones on either of those sites...

Midnight/Caffeine, I like those, but they are too flat for me; I really injured my foot a couple of years ago wearing sandals as flat as that on a long walk, so steer clear of completely flat soles now...

doglover, whilst those do look incredibly comfortable, I think I would have to poke out my own eyes in case I accidently looked down and caught sight of them Grin

Squitch, that's amazing service- I'm not sure I could do all that, I am a very impatient shoe wearer!

Itwillendinsmiles, thanks, but they must be leather.

ilovegreenbeans that's good to know- I liked them, but didn't love them IYSWIM, so don't think I'd have the patience to break them in.

mylittleprincess3455, sorry, should've said; I don't want toepost ones.

Any other ideas gratefully received Smile

Ingles2 · 25/06/2012 22:48

or these

Ingles2 · 25/06/2012 22:52

or these?

EnjoyResponsibly · 25/06/2012 22:58

these

PlumSykes · 25/06/2012 23:03

I have these in black. They are SO comfy. Soft leather, slightly padded sole.

icapturethecastle · 25/06/2012 23:14

Saw this thread and was going to link to those clarkes ones. May have to tough it out with the plasters - I really like the Teal or Red ones as well. But what I really want are red Saltwater sandals must stop reading Rockstar Diaries blog.

Gauchita · 25/06/2012 23:25

What about these?

icapturethecastle · 26/06/2012 13:25

They have the Clarks Sandals at my store discounted to £17.49 I got them in red and tan.

sweetheart · 26/06/2012 14:30

I have these ones they are very comfy and go with everything. i like them because although they are sandles they hide much of my feet which are quite frankly ugly!

tethersend · 27/06/2012 12:29

Ingles2- thanks, but those ones have very flat soles.

EnjoyResponsibly- I quite like the style of those but again the soles are a bit thin and they aren't leather.

Plum, I quite like those- I would prefer a deeper tan colour though. Not bad.

icapture- really? for £17.50, I could tough them out I suppose... where are you? Are they that price in all stores?

Gauchita- I am considering those... do you think they are too grannyish?

sweetheart- thanks, but again, the sole is too flimsy.

Still looking...

I got them at the retail in park in Bedford. I assume they would be that price everywhere although they are not showing on the website. Warning though I have worn them for about an hour and already need a plaster - need a bit of scar tissue to take the pain. Ah the pleasure of summer shoes.

tethersend · 27/06/2012 21:45

Thanks icapture- plasters after an hour? Bollocks to that, even for £17.50; I've just been to the chiropodist FFS Grin

I am shamelessly marking my place here as I'm on the hunt for the exact same thing! I'm quite excited about sitting down later on with a cuppa & (hopefully) ordering my new shoes!

BarryShitpeas · 27/06/2012 21:56

I'm wearing Primark tan leather sandals that have 2 straps across and side buckle- the £12 ones. They are nice, comfy, sole is fine.
