I had one - it was great for skiing.

Can't remember now if I wore it in real life - or have I just suppressed the memory?!

My mum had them in a variety of colours.

There are two words that put me off snoods forever in the 80s and still work now.

Mine was black and when I was skiing, I wore a black, white and turqoioise green plaited headband round my head to keep it on. It matched my jacket and I was reeeally stylish!

LOL yes I had one in primary school, nasty turquoise and black swirly pattern. Also a very trendy pair of pixie boots!

Don't laugh I was wearing a snood when I met DH!!!!

I remember snoods but never had one. It would be a different story if they were in fashion now. They llok ideal for keeping out draughts and I care about warmth more now than I do about appearance!

But pixie boots and ra-ra skirts are another matter. I wore those - almost as a uniform. Would be too old for them now though
