lucy5 · 22/02/2006 11:53

I had a black one which was a great disguise when I went ski-ing and managed to burn one side of my face.

MrsSpoon · 22/02/2006 11:56

I had one!

hunkermunker · 22/02/2006 11:57

I had one. Cosy!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 22/02/2006 12:00

Snood

JackieNo · 22/02/2006 12:04

You've confused me - I thought this was a snood. But LadySherlock's link has explained.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2006 12:07

LGJ - didnt think you posted pics of yourself on here?????

prettybird · 22/02/2006 12:10

I had one - it was great for skiing.

Can't remember now if I wore it in real life - or have I just suppressed the memory?!

Fimbo · 22/02/2006 12:13

My mum had them in a variety of colours.

WigWamBam · 22/02/2006 12:14

There are two words that put me off snoods forever in the 80s and still work now.

Nik Kershaw.

RTKangaMummy · 22/02/2006 12:14

I had one like LGJ

It was red and I loved it

prettybird · 22/02/2006 12:17

Mine was black and when I was skiing, I wore a black, white and turqoioise green plaited headband round my head to keep it on. It matched my jacket and I was reeeally stylish!

Blackduck · 22/02/2006 12:42

only good for bikers.....(and I suspect THEY don't call them snoods.....)

lahdeedah · 22/02/2006 12:46

LOL yes I had one in primary school, nasty turquoise and black swirly pattern. Also a very trendy pair of pixie boots!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 22/02/2006 12:49

ooh yes - pixie boots lol

and reversible jumpers

cece · 22/02/2006 12:51

Don't laugh I was wearing a snood when I met DH!!!!

DumbledoresGirl · 22/02/2006 12:52

I remember snoods but never had one. It would be a different story if they were in fashion now. They llok ideal for keeping out draughts and I care about warmth more now than I do about appearance!

But pixie boots and ra-ra skirts are another matter. I wore those - almost as a uniform. Would be too old for them now though

prettybird · 22/02/2006 13:16

What about ra-ra skirts, pointy shoes, leg warmers and a snood?! (my uni "uniform")

cece · 22/02/2006 13:27

lol prettybird.

I'm sure I've got photos of me wearing this stuff!
