I have lived in jeans and tops for the last 3 years at least... but I'm going to a wedding at the weekend and have bought this dress.

It looks better on than in the picture. I've got a lineny blue jacket to go with it. What sort of shoes should I wear (bearing in mind I've lived in converse-style shoes for the last 3 years so heels are out)?

I'm also trying to revamp my look and like some wrap jersy type dresses as they look comfy (i'm size 16-18 if that makes a difference. Hopefully smaller by end of the year). I quite like the mistral and bought this before discovering their website had even greater variety...

But I'm not too sure how to wear it/ that kind of dress in general. I've never worn a dress with leggings - if I do what shoes do I wear? I wore it on its own with sandals today which may be the first time I've shown leg in over 3 years. I am a complete beginner at this. I'd love to have a "pulled together" look but I have no idea. Complete novice. I was thinking a dark blue cardi in warmer weather but do I go to M and S or next? Mistral only goes up to 18 in some of their stock (obviously why I have to lose weight - if I am size 14 I could just shop in one store and know that it "goes"). Its a lot more money than I've spent on clothes before but they're pretty...
