Cashmere socks are they worth it??

I have permanently cold feet and a friend has told me that cashmere socks will keep my toes toasty. I have looked at them in town today and they are a bit pricey but I don't really mind this if they are worth the price. So my questions are:

1. Do they keep your feet warm?
2. Do they last longer than normal socks?
3. Are they worth the cost?

My toes would appreciate any feedback! :)

I have very small feet though so the smallest size has totally shrunk to fit my feet perfectly.

Maybe that's it - I have huge feet!

They're not socks but Pretty Polly do fleece tights and they are wonderful

I'm with Laurie.....I just bung my Brora socks in a 40 wash, they're 2 winters old and still soft and cosy - perhaps the rough treatment toughens them up !

knit them! Much much cheaper and fun too (plus lots of lovely patterns) AND it's tricky to learn so it takes your mind off your cold feet!!
