Wedding style at 24 and 28.5 weeks pregnant

All continuing well, I shall be pregnant at two weddings this year, one September time, and one in December.

For the September one, I have [http://www.isabellaoliver.com/maternity-clothes/uk/100/maternity-dresses/DR051.html this dress]. DH will be wearing his kilt to both events, and I'll get him in a scrunchie tie that'll tie us together (his kilt is heathery colours, greens - gorgeous!).

For the September dress, I'm thinking a soft green for his tie, but no idea how to accessorise it in terms of shoes, bag etc.

For December, I have [http://www.isabellaoliver.com/blog/myleene-klass-wears-the-ruched-one-shoulder-dress/ this one]. I want to make the most of it as it is gorgeous, and the last time I wore it I didn't do it justice. No idea what tie I'd have DH in either, as the kilt doesn't lend itself to red.

All suggestions welcomed!

Am I looking at the right (lovely) dresses?

September

December

Which colours are they? And the business with the tie for DH, not quite following that either. Sorry.

Yes! Thanks, first time my links haven't worked, I'll blame the iPad ;)

September's is pink, December's is red.

Generally with a kilt, unless the man is wearing the bow tie, he'll wear a scrunchie tie/cravat type ... thing ... to tie in with his partner.

DH's kilt is heathery colours, lots of purples, light greens, which don't lend themselves to allowing him to wear a pink or red tie to match me. Thinking light green tie for the September wedding (green and pink - classic) Like the fern one here

Ah, right! Now I get it.

What sort of shoes can you handle when your heavily pregnant? low, wedges, full on stilettos? these shoes are delicious but I certainly wouldn't have been able to wear them at term.

I'd go with nude shoes and turquoise bag, I think.

MrsLettuce · 02/05/2012 19:59

nude and turquoise with the pink I mean

MrsLettuce · 02/05/2012 20:06

december? with a black clutch. Maybe a purple shade of tie for DH?
september?

Fab dresses

Never thought of matching DH's outfit to mine though Confused I'd just get him to wear whatever tie goes best with his outfit.

How about metallic shoes/clutch - would go with both dresses. these are high but wedge so a bit more stable.

I wore the red to a wedding when similarly pregnant. I wore with gold sparkly strappy flats and a floaty red oriental/floral print kimono jacket, which I (and others) thought looked lovely. That being said, the wedding was in June so may not be weather appropriate.

I also had the pink, but in black, which I wore with patent wedges and a boucle Chanel-esque jacket for my DH's birthday party.

Oh, lots of great ideas! Loving the wedges and the leopard print!

Wondering about, potentially, a sequin blazer with the wedges for December?

I love the idea of the nude and turquoise. No idea how I'll do with heels. I wimped out last time and got kitten heels, which I felt horribly frumpy in.
