Wearing skinny jeans with a big scarf and a slightly baggy top?
Nuffink wrong with that, just they're all the same.
Oh and holding a bag in an awkward way.

Think you'd be disappointed! Although I started a new job recently and have set myself the "workwear marathon" I.e 26 different outfits in a row! Am on day 12!!!(am allowed same items just not whole outfit!).....sad eh??Grin

Vonnegut · 01/05/2012 21:44

I like this one - www.phiphisblog.com for workwear ideas.

(It's not mine)

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 01/05/2012 21:56

I was thinking about the lack of workwear on blogs the other day and would like to see some more.

I really like the idea of a Pruna blog, but then you'd have to convince someone one to wear the hideous items and have photographic evidence of it. Oh, the shame.

lumbago · 01/05/2012 22:03

That Petite one is all buying Louis Vuitton bags fgs

Lol at "bankers' wives who wear scarves" Grin

I'd read a blog called that.

WipsGlitter · 01/05/2012 22:20

There's a lot of "I've just wet myself" weird stance posing going on. And hip to camera/ TOWIE hand on waist posing too!

lumbago · 01/05/2012 22:28

They wear scarves. Ankle boots or Flats. Jacket.
And some bag.
Evening same. But heels.

There also appears to a gap in the market for a ' how I look like a supermodel rather than an 80s East German shot putter in my white polycotton tunic and flat shoes ' blog - may be too niche though.

HaleAndPacemaker · 02/05/2012 07:09

There used to be a great blog called "academic chic" that wasn't too teacher-y or jeans-y.

dexter73 · 02/05/2012 07:49

I agree - just looked at the does my bum look 40 and she does wear a version of the same thing in almost every photo. Looks very nice though!

jamaisjedors · 02/05/2012 11:28

Hale - I was just about to say that! I was gutted when they stopped doing it but secretly relived that those women ultimately found that they couldn't do a phd, teach, look after their babies, bike to work, and take pictures of their beautiful outfits every day!

lumbago · 02/05/2012 17:17

Lol

Don't mean to be a party pooper but I wouldn't dare do a blog after reading all your moments. Sad
Some of the blogs recommended on this thread aren't for me so I just won't follow them, but good luck to them, it takes time and courage to put yourself out there......

drywhiteplease · 02/05/2012 21:40

Meant "all your comments"

stripeygingercat · 02/05/2012 21:55

Yes is v easy to sneer, not so easy to actually do. And am sure they are not all 'bankers' wives'.

WipsGlitter · 02/05/2012 22:09

Actually I think there is some constructive comment on here for anyone doing a blog: more varity, lots of links to other stuff, be critical about what you are blogging - is it just variants on a theme? More workwear. Quality pictures - use a flash!

lumbago · 02/05/2012 22:16

Lol. No they are bankers wives in scarves. ;)

OP posts:
lumbago · 08/05/2012 22:04

WipsGlitter · 08/05/2012 22:18

Where?!!

drywhiteplease · 09/05/2012 22:48

Ok.......I am being brave. Have been in touch with a blogger who shall remain nameless ( but try regular MN fashion ones) and she is going to feature more work wear in the next couple of weeks. Not corporate suity stuff but me my sort of smart/casual, no jeans type. But don't be mean about it!!!(no skinny jeans but perhaps the odd scarf!)

drywhiteplease · 09/05/2012 22:49

Ok it's schoolgatestyle

lumbago · 10/05/2012 07:54

Oh please quite smart.
And no blardy tunics.

Any good blogs featuring men's wearable fashion? Ie. not skinny schoolboys with high cheekbones and sculpted hair, but men. Want ideas for updating dh's wardrobe.
