Come and talk me down - I actually considered buying 'full briefs' yesterday...

I desperately need some new knickers! I've dallied with barely diguised full briefs boy shorts but they are horribly wedgifying.

I have a very wobbly tummy and bottom that need constraining. Basically I need big pants that don't look like big pants (not the tummy sucking in ones, just regular every day ones).

Please can anyone advise....

I think your instincts are right herbaceous.

I like big to cover my saggy but surprisingly muscular arse but don't like them to come too high. My butt falls out of shorts.

I think big pants are very chic.

They are 1950s and look lovely in the right fabric and style.

I only wear black/white/flesh coloured underwear now. V.boring but I cannot wear mismatched undies so its the best way to keep everything matching.

If I went back to my post DC5 unfreakish bra size I might think differently though

Knickers never used to have to be large to be actually comfortable. It seems to me that they are cutting them higher on the ass (the Brazilian thingy??) which is what causes the discomfort - even the so-called boy shorts do this, so the name is very misleading. This seems to have become more of an issue since the late 90's onwards, and the only store on earth that offers actual decent knickers now is Uniqlo. These are like the boy short, very cute, but the lower leg actually covers the ass cheek, and not in a frumpy way....just more of a 'these pants actually aren't trying to Garrot me' kind of a way.

Interesting about the pants over top of jeans being such a criminal offence. The waist band of my trousers are never in public view but I do have the problem of when I crouch down, the back of jeans slide down. I'd rather any poor saps standing nearby got an eye-full of pants than of my flabby arse. Ahem.

I worked with a young lad last year who used to take great delight snickering at my pants, (nice lace ones) when I bent down, then one day he saw someone, same age as me, bend over and got and eyeful of twisted thong and arse.

He never laughed at me again .
