I have had psoriasis my whole life. I feel like I've tried everything going shampoo wise to no avail. It just remains dry and flaky. I don't wash my hair every day so as not to aggravate it further.

Can anyone recommend anything that has helped them?

TIA

Nizoral is good. You only need to use it once in a while, and you can used normal shampoo the rest of the time.

T Gel is good but it STINKS.

That's because most shampoos are just liquid soaps.

What you need to do is every second day get some olive/mustard oil in your hair . Just a couple of teaspoons should be enough to cover your whole scalp (depending on the length of your hair of course).

Rub it in properly ensuring you get to the bottom of every follicle. This will gather all those dead skin cells and will give your hair some nutrients too. Leave it for about an hour.

You can use regular shampoo if you wish but ensure you get about a teaspoon of Apple Cider vinegar in with it. Avoid getting it in your eyes while washing the oil (and the cells trapped in it) out your hair.

It works every time - even for people with "incurable" dandruff. it's not as effective with lemon juice instead of Apple cider vinegar but will sting a lot more!

I like Alphosyl, about a fiver for a big bottle from the chemists. It's dark green and smells a bit "medical" (I like it though!) and is grand on ailing scalps (if mine is particularly bad I massage it with olive or bio oil first) with the plus point of giving you really shiny hair.
