How many pairs of jeans?!

I was just sorting out my wardrobe and i have 20 pairs of jeans. DH thinks this is excessive, i say it's probably about normal so i have agreed to do a quick straw poll...can i ask how many pairs of jeans you own?

pseudo - Have you tried the gap slim straight jeans? They give me a skinny look all the way down the leg, just not overly tight at the ankle. I have the same problem - skinny jeans wont go past my knees until I go up 2 or 3 dress sizes and then they are massive around my waist.

also - it is a little known fact but mango do jeans in half sizes - size 7, 9, 11 and 13 - I have them in about 5 colours.

3 pairs here.

Dark blue skinnies (the only ones I wear regularly)
Old, too big, tatty pair saved for wearing whilst tackling gardening/DIY jobs
Cropped - warm weather only!

I probably would have more pairs (normally about 5-6) but I lost a lot of weight last year (and hopefully will lose more this year) so am limiting what I buy at present! However I only wear them at weekends.

2 gap boot cut 1 good/1 pair more worn
1 pair very dark tint straight cut not quite skinny but for wearing with boots
1pair of well washed skinnys again for wearing with boots
1 pair cropped French Connection ones that only appear on holidays.

I am not a great fan of jeans to be honest- if they are your fashion must have 20 is probaly ok

No idea but here's a quick tally...

1 pair of loose boyfit style - very casual for camping holidays and out and aboutn with DC
2 pairs of skinny boyfriend style - I wear rolled up with heels
1 dark tint high waist skinny - work with tops tucked in and heels
1 pair of regualr dark tint skinnys - wear tucked into boots
1 pair blue on the waist flares - husband loves my bottom in them
1 pair of navy blue skinnys - tucked into boots or worn with wedges in the summer
1 pair bottle green high waist skinny - just because they make a change from blue!
1 pair turquoise skinnys that I haven't worn yet and am saving for spring

so 9 in total... am feeling rather restrained after reading this thread!!

I think. Have about 12 or 13 pairs. Just counted up in my head so could be wrong.

2 pairs coated skinnies- black
2pairs coated skinnies- indigo
2 pairs plain black skinnies
1 pair grey jeggings (nicer than they sound....)
2 pairs Long and Lean/skinny boot cut- dark/light blue
1 pair black skinny flare
1 pair bright blue skinny flare (TS Jessie's- great cut)
1 pair dark blue skinny flare that are shorter to wear with flats
1 pair dark blue 3/4 length for spring/summer

Hmm, went and looked through my drawer and am rather startled by how many pairs I have and how many are just not quite right. Will have a bit of a clear out if I ever have this baby (am 40 +5...)

Currently:

1 hot pink skinnies
1 navy skinnies
1 leopard skinnies
3 grey skinnies (diff sizes)
3 black skinnies / super skinnies
1 white skinnies
3 indigo straight leg
4 blue skinnies / super skinnies
1 boyfriend jean (never ever worn)
1 blue skinny flare

And 3 pairs of denim jeggings!

So definitely in the 20+ category and I haven't counted my maternity jeans obviously.

I dress very casually most of the time, and havent wore a pair of jeans for at least two weeks. Most people I know dont wear jeans either. its leggings or dresses/skirts.

went to buy some jeans today.
spent more than I would really like but got 2 pairs of black levi's, one skinny and one straight legged. they come in 3 different curvy shapes. I never had skinnies before that fit over my thighs without making them look really big.

20's not excessive if you keep your clothes for years - I have regular binges and clear out so haven't got loads, I have 6 pairs currently, although two pairs are too small and two have holes, leaving one skinny pair and one pair of levi's slight curve which i wear all the time, although I wish I'd known how much they give on wearing as I'd have dropped to the next size down - they're forever falling down. Saggy bum jeans.... Nice

But I hate wearing them - I normally only wear them if it's cold/icy and I need to wear proper shoes which don't go with skirts/dresses and then I can have a big snuggly jumper too.

I think 20 is a bit excessive. I can only think of 6 that have. Might have another couple I've forgotten.

6 pairs, and they're pretty much all I wear.
I am contemplating 'upgrading' to corduroys for work, as I can't dress down at weekends.
