How many pairs of jeans?!

I was just sorting out my wardrobe and i have 20 pairs of jeans. DH thinks this is excessive, i say it's probably about normal so i have agreed to do a quick straw poll...can i ask how many pairs of jeans you own?

7+
two for wearing with walking boots
two for 'neat and tidy' day wear
two smart pair for 'going out'
one pair of crops
and the + is for the number of white jeans I have but have yet to find 'the ones'

Well i just found a couple more pairs in another drawer

6 skinnies, dark blues, blacks and grey.
2 slouch blue
2 boyfriend blue
6 straight/slim leg all dark blue shades
6 bootcut blue
(4 pairs of crops but didn't count these as i thought not really a jean?!)

I live in jeans and have different cuts to wear with different shoes so i guess maybe a bit ott but not ridiculously so!

I have 8 pairs. Four bootcut, four skinny (one coloured). When I buy a new pair, I get rid of an old pair. Mostly buy new ones because old ones are looking worn or are torn etc.

not always in jeans I wear a lot of dresses, skirts and have other trousers that I love wearing too.

I wear jeans most days although also own cords and skirts.

20 isn't that excessive if they've been collected over years and worn lots. I reckon my dh must have at least 20 pairs of cords and cargo trousers. Luckily we have separate wardrobe space!

I probably have getting on for 20 pairs of jeans. But I wear them all the time (work and play) so that's my excuse!

DW probably only has about 4 pairs: but then she rarely wears jeans. The number of tights, leggings, dresses, shorts, skirts, and shoes/boots she has might be considered excessive by some!

1 fits but has hair-dye stain
1 fits but is too long
1 is way too big
1 is too small
1 has holes in the thighs and knees, and torn heels

I only wear jeans. Desperately need more but can't justify spending on myself just now :(

I live in jeans but hate shopping for them. :)

2 pair sof jeans. I only regularly wear one. I prefer skirts & dresses.

1 pair I love but have worn through at the gusset and knees but I can't bear to throw out (first pair of nice jeans bought from my first real wages )
2 pairs that were post pregnancy too big now but going into storage (hope to need them again some day)

Live in jeans. Currently contemplating berry coloured baxters and another black skinnies as my current ones are worn through. Would love a pair of MIH Marrakech in indigo too

I have about 4 pairs of trousers (that fit) including jeans.
20 is way ecxessive.

im over 30 and i wear green and raspberry pink jeans!

3 pairs of Topshop Baxters - black, dark blue, mid-blue
3 pairs of Topshop Leighs - dark blue, black, Camel
2 pairs of 7 jeans - dark blue, mid-blue
Gap boyfriend jeans in mid-blue
2 pairs of skinny mid-blue jeans from New Look which I wear for taking kids to the park etc.

So that's 11 pairs, which i think is slightly excessive, really!

Mentally counted them whilst lying in bed and have about 30 pairs. Coloured, skinnies, boot cut, faded, dark, flairs, straight, black, waxed and cropped.

Top Shop, French Connection, 7 for All Mankind, Primark, J Brand, Zara.

Wear them for work, rest & play. And will buy more!

Six pairs although two of them are too tight at the moment mind you they are about seven years old now

I've only got 1 pair that fit. Levis Bold Curve dark blue skinnies. This is a serious deficiency that I am planning to rectify this year.

BTW (slight hijack) can someone please recommend some jeans for me to try as I have a hard time finding any to fit even though I'm a fairly slim size 10? I guess I am slightly thigh and bum heavy with a small waist. I only want skinnies and they can't fit like leggings because of beyonce-ish proportions.

I have tried every style in Topshop and Gap - no joy. Where next?

I think 20-30 pairs is fine as long as you wear them all.

I could get a few more, find them much more interesting than they used to be. Colours, better fit and style.

No jeans here at the moment - quite ruthless with clothes and if they don't fit/look good and have really gone off traditional indigo skinnies. Agree with Marsha though - lots of new colours coming into the shops which are more inspiring, planning on getting these in pretty much every colour for SS. Just waiting for a discount code!

Wow, I also wear jeans almost every day and I have 4 pairs and 2 of them are too small really but kidding myself I can still fit into them
