I have been on a roll the last 24 hours after news of a work bonus...

Bought both the Reiss dresses I linked to.

Plus 4 long sleeved tees from Gap.

Also, after Ollie and Fleecy have also fessed up to some Dotty Ps love, was looking at the website after another thread extolled the virtue of the dresses. Have a look here.. Have ordered stripey Janice a like, navy tee shirt midi dress and snakeskin dress (links later) and with code DPVIPE it came to £52! I know there is some polyester flying around, but there are also some nice cotton mixes..

Bought 3 tops from ASOS too. Will link later when not on iPhone.

blossoming · 18/02/2012 08:48

Wow notyummy, great shopping and great prices!
Pouring with rain and blowing a gale here. DS is going with DD to MiL's, seems DH and I are off to the mtb centre. I think he's lost the plot.

AmberNectarine · 18/02/2012 08:53

Well done ny richly deserved, though what happened to 'no more dresses?' Wink Sure they will all come in handy for your trip!

Am on the early shift this morning - after DH came home in the foulest temper known to man last night, because he was 'tired'. Obviously I wouldn't know about that bf around the clock. We managed to have a row about, of all things, the wardrobe doorknobs. DH freely admits he doesn't care about them but manages to muster enough interest to flatly dismiss any I suggest. When I ask him to suggest an alternative he states he doesn't care enough to 'waste his time' looking. Erm... I think he was just being argumentative for the sake of it, but honestly sometimes I just want to wallop him with a frying pan! Hopefully he will wake up less of an arse today.

ApuskiMcClusky · 18/02/2012 09:39

Morning! Sorry your DH was grumpy yesterday, Amber, it does sound like being argumentative for the sake of it.

NY, a shopping blitz! I have a couple of DP things in my shopstyle favourites, I should probably get on and order.

LK Bennett shopping postponed to Sunday because DH wants to go and test drive a new car Hmm - he's been really keen to get a new car since the house money was in the bank (yes - and it's for a house!), and it would actually be me driving it most days because I'm the one with a commute. But he's obsessing and looking at Autocar every day, so we will go and have a look at one (won't buy this one, too expensive, but means we can check it out). Need to summon some enthusiasm.

notyummy · 18/02/2012 10:07

Here are the Dotty P dresses I got:

Stripey

Will either be a great spring/summer basic or a nuns habit that I return straight away - will see!

Snakeskin.

There were quite a few other ones I fancied, but given I have ordered 5 dresses in the last day (I know, Amber, I know Blush) I thought I really should stop!!

From ASAOA I have odered this wrap top and this panther print shirt.

Apparently Reiss dresses and ASOS tops have all been despatched. Can't wait!

Amber - DH and I have arguements like that all the time.

Enjoy the car shopping Hmm Apuski.

Thanks for the compliment Annie. DH and I are about to attempt 2 levels of Ripped in 30 - he struggles with all the balancing required in it and we both end up giggling and losing form. Think it would be hilarious for any onlookers. Luckily only DD gets to see us!

ApuskiMcClusky · 18/02/2012 10:14

I've got that stripey one on my list NY. I can totally see you in the snakeskin one. I think the grey one is too high waisted for me plus wrong colour. I love that panther shirt too.

scarfaholic · 18/02/2012 10:36

Congratulations on the bonus, NY, and great dresses!

I woke up to the delivery of a £100 Harvey Nicks voucher sent by my cousins and a beautiful scarf from my SIL. :)

Hope your DH is in better form today, Amber! DH and I often have the who is more tired argument.

What is the mtb centre, Bloss? Enjoy your day out. I have bookmarked the recipe, thanks.

I am far from perfect but I am happy enough with my shape. I lost a lot of weight when I was a student and collapsed, I wasn't trying to lose weight and I look hideous in the photos taken around that time. My friend still laughs at me coming to meet her when she visited, I was skeletal and she was going through a pudgy phase. I have lost 8lb this week but I am still feeling awful so it is not worth it! DH very sick too. I really hope the girls don't get his bug.

Fleecy, my friend and her family moved to Spain near Barcelona for a few years. The kids loved it but she found it tough, I think the main problem was she didn't speak a word of Spanish before she left!

DD1 has a Breton dress too, Annie, she looks very cute.

Nice shoes, Breton and Amber. I got that My-W discount too, I'm thinking of these jeans and this top.

I tried my LKB dress on again, it is way too loose on top. I hope it sells.

pickledsiblings · 18/02/2012 12:22

scarf, I thought you'd just bought that dress - can't you return it?

NY, great news about your well deserved bonus - congratulations! Fab spending, the floral Reiss dress is my fav.

blue2711 · 18/02/2012 12:28

Hello all! Haven't caught up yet and just about to have a read but thought I'd do a quick post while my beautiful daughter is sleeping next to me. We're home now and getting settled. All went well with the birth, not sure if this is the thread for birth stories but it was short and relatively straightforward (although she came out face first!). And no tears, hurrah!

DS has been so sweet, really excited and wanting to get involved. I feel less shell-shocked than last time, although still tired and wobbly, but am so besotted by this gorgeous little creature. Cant believe she was 8.6oz though!

Hope you're all well, looking forward to catching up properly. Feel like complete fraud in S and B though, having been in my PJs for 3 days in a row!

scarfaholic · 18/02/2012 12:38

Glad you are doing well, Blue. What is her name?

No, Pickled, I noticed too late that they don't accept returns/exchanges on sales items.

AntPants1 · 18/02/2012 14:03

Hello everyone

Congratulations blue!! I think staying in pjs for the first few days weeks- is actually very wise!

My lovely Sis is out of sister and it's lovely to know she is surrounded by her DCs and all her things.

bloss I saw a great scarf in whistles and thought of you. I am afraid it s not on the website but its black, white and grey birds. Worth a look.

blossoming · 18/02/2012 14:12

scarf, that's pretty poor isn't it? You'd think they'd give a credit note at least. Hope you both feel better soon.
It was the mountain bike centre we went to. When we drove past on way to MiL's the temp was 1C and it was hailing. But after a cup of tea it dried up and once we got going the sun came out and we had a brilliant ride. Mud head to toe, plate full of carbs. Back at mil's now, in skinnies with my hair straightened, my face clean an my lipgloss on.
Very lucky to have found such a great activity that both me and DH love and can do together.

That sounds lovely ants, look forward to seeing it in store. So glad your dsis is better.

Welcome home blue!

OllieinOrange · 18/02/2012 15:57

Blue - glad you are home safe and sound. Enjoy PJ time - I remember the Kramzorg (baby nurse you get over here for a week after birth) telling me to get back up in those pyjamas when I appeared in jeans on day 2. She was quite horriified!
Would love to know DDs name too, if you'd rather not reveal it on the thread, send me a PM and I can forward it to the rest via PM (no trouble, can cut and paste from past mass MU messages)?

notyummy great dress haul, real bargains. Can see you in all of them.
bloss sounds like youve had a great day. I love how you love spending time with DH.

ants good news about your sister.

Im struggling today, swollen face and in a lot of pain, which bizarrely is all along the the top of my existing teeth. Am about to order the Me and Em dress in blue and grey as a pick me up, will send one or both back.

DS2 just had his first swimming lesson - loved it but was a bit hyper and got told off a few times for not listening and bobbing up and down shouting "bombertje" which means lets dive bomb Shock.

The Boden Summer preview is out. Nothing I liked the look off except this linen top. The model pic looks blue but its called plum., white nice tho. french knot top

blossoming · 18/02/2012 17:07

Thanks for the heads up ollie. On first look I like the jersey dresses. I might give the capri dress a go in royal blue. Remembering I have 8 days practically on a beach in Languedoc in August. I had a jersey beach dress last year I practically lived in, from pool to caravan, just the empire line bugs me as I still look pregnant. Or the beachcomber dress in blue.
DH looks adorabe mud splattered. He is so serious and responsible the rest of the time. We are surrounded by hundres of men in proper kit, and he's still in his old jeans with a 20 year old bike bought for £100 in macro. He admits he really needs this outlet, and having seen him so stressed in January I am pleased that he chooses this over going to football or drinking!
Sorry you're still in pain. Is alcohol allowed Wink?

notyummy · 18/02/2012 17:14

Ollie- sorry to hear you are still suffering.

Blue- great to hear from you. Stay in those pyjamas as long as you need.

So pleased to hear your sister is better Ants. I guess living proof of why there are so many warnings about flu and pregnancy.

Bloss- lovely to hear that you and your dh are enjoying your biking. We all cycled to the Spar today.. Not quite the same thing!!

blossoming · 18/02/2012 17:16

The ribbon trim linen top in white looks good too, although it makes the model look massive.

AmberNectarine · 18/02/2012 17:16

ollie are your DSs bilingual?

blue2711 · 18/02/2012 17:27

Have just spent wonderful afternoon cuddled up with DD (first time typing that!). She is making these lovely little animal like noises and is in a white towelling babygro and a white shawl my DM has crocheted for her. I made the mistake of thinking she was the easiest baby ever for the first 24hrs when she just slept; now she only wants to be held! But I'm just enjoying it; she's still so new.

Her name is Estella Jane Smile.

Have read all your posts and looked at all the links and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Will try and do some replying and commenting over the next few days.

Thanks so much for all the welcomes for Estella. Come on mim and icey, your turn now!

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/02/2012 17:31

Oh Blue - gorgeous name! I snuggled with DD in our bedroom for the first couple of days - was really wonderful Smile

Scarf - so glad you got checked out - was worried I sounded a bit bossy but have had friends who've had infections in similar circumstances - hope the anti-biotics kick in soon.

Pickled - blue bonnets finally here and am wearing them today - such a lovely spring lie colour.

Fleecy · 18/02/2012 17:50

blue that's very pretty and feminine. I like!

Am feeling very nostalgic reading your posts. Time goes all too quickly as you know so I am glad you're enjoying the precious early days with your beautiful girl Smile

Must have been pretty scary for you and your family ants - pleased that she's on the mend.

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough ollie. Happy times ordering the dresses though!

And yay for Dorothy Perkins ny - particularly like the stripes.

Also scarf like your MW links very much too.

www.whistles.co.uk/fcp/categorylist/dept/shop?resetFilters=true#ID=id_903000057806_brands&category=brands bloss it's the lily and Lionel doves scarf. Picture does not do it justice

AntPants1 · 18/02/2012 18:10

Lovely name blue
