Inspired, eh?!

Fleecy · 17/02/2012 10:22

Meant roary not rufus!

And amber I couldn't load your links last night - it's not that they're horrid so I am ignoring them - will try again shortly and sure they will be lovely Smile

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 10:37

Hopefully you look great in both dresses. I still cant believe you are the same height as me, you look way taller! Agree with Pickled about the waist shrinking properties of Me&Em. Boots suit you v much too.

Ok today, jaw aches quite a bit and wounds keep bleeding which is horrible (sorry if tmi) but having a quiet day at home. Just had some porridge with syrup as needed a sugar hit.

HL dress is here so time for a try on.

MU is one month from today!

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 10:39

Did anyone else watch the BBC2 programme on first time dads last night? I loved it.

FritziGreenEyes · 17/02/2012 10:39

hopefully Another yes from me for the Me&Em!

scarfaholic · 17/02/2012 10:52

I got an appt straight away and you were right, I did need to go. It wasn't a tummy bug but GP thinks an infection from the miscarriage and I am on antibiotics now. DH is home, Bloss, but in bed as he reckons he caught my tummy bug. Glad you guys are getting on well.

Interesting about the German president.

Hopefully, another vote for the Me and Em. Mine just arrived and I tried it on, it is indeed fab. Mim, I got the medium and am 12 but not well endowed on top!

Russianred · 17/02/2012 10:53

You look stunning. I both Hopefully, but agree on the Me&Em having the edge. Are you wearing Aggies or Aldo - can't remember the resolution of the great boot hunt.

OP posts:
Russianred · 17/02/2012 11:07

Glad you went to the Gp scarf, hope anti-b's kick in soon.

Ouch Ollie, hope it all closes up soon.

Am v inclined to get the me&em, but have no occasion to!

OP posts:
MidnightinMoscow · 17/02/2012 11:13

Glad you got to the GP Scarf.

Me and Em looks fab, Hopefully and agree you have a great figure.

Red, I have no occasion for it either, but think it's a dress that you could wear both day and night, especially the grey with Roxy and shoe boots for evening.

Hopefully · 17/02/2012 11:29

Thanks for the lovely comments Blush.my figure isn't great, so they must be nice dresses. Me and Em dress is staying!

Scarf glad you went to GP and got meds. Hope you feel better soon. Healing vibes to you and Ollie.

Have lovely weekend planned - HoC make up session tomorrow morning, then off to lovely friend for dinner and night away without DCs (DH staying home). Am v excited, will be great to catch up. She is one of those lifelong friends, who I don't see as often as I'd like. Agree with others it is harder to make friends post school/uni/early career. I have a handful of great friends here, but it certainly isn't as easy as previously! Will still be a wrench if we move though.

scarfaholic · 17/02/2012 11:29

Thanks Red. She said I should have gone sooner. I once walked around with a fractured ankle for a week before going to get it checked out.

I'm probably going to wear the dress by day with flat sandals, when it gets warmer. I need black too. :)

scarfaholic · 17/02/2012 11:30

Have a great weekend, Hopefully.

IceCreamCastles · 17/02/2012 11:54

First one definitely hopefully-take it that's the me&em one? I can't keep up either fritzi!

Glad you went scarf and hope you feel better soon.

Hope hl dress is a keeper ollie

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 11:58

Scarf thank goodness you went to the Drs. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

Just had the mother of all trying on sessions.
HL is going back. Nice style and fit but quite thin material which I could live with but colour was nothing special on me. Would probably suit Autumns better? Am going to order the Me&Em dress now but will most likely wear Janice to MU (will just pretend my arms are thinner than they are)

Tried various things on from existing wardrobe and feel quite disillusioned. I need more daytime wear esp tops, that Look nice instea of just ok.

I have a Boden question. I need to exchange the grey jumper for a 12. Are you able to order new things using the exchange form too? And if so, does the original discount you used still apply to the new items? Would like the jumper in navy too.

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 12:03

A 20% off code for The Otnet just popped into my inbox: 20SHARELOVE.

blossoming · 17/02/2012 12:22

Oh scarf, thank God you were bullied persuaded into going. Hope you can rest this afternoon.

Hope things improve chez ollie too. Is it really only a month away? Can't wait. Have severe cabin fever after this week.
Decided to do the shopping on foot. Took an hour and a half. It's a fair walk round town and uphill on the way home. Dd was a star and didn't complain once. Seriously regretted it when I carried the weekly shop home though. Managed to palm 2 bags onto DS. Still, there's the weight training done for the day.
Trying to work out if you could eat 1200 cals a day without feeling hungry. I am making a lentil and chickpea soup for lunch, but am making curry for later. Should probably try and fit in a shred or 2 to make some capacity!

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 12:30

Me&Em dress: navy or grey????
Navy is obviously v similar to Janice but not sure about the marl of the grey on me?

pickledsiblings · 17/02/2012 12:54

I know what you mean about the grey Ollie, when I saw it I thought it would look good on Fritzi - more suited to her colouring than yours I think.

Have you seen it Fritzi?

FritziGreenEyes · 17/02/2012 13:22

pickled Course I have Wink Having seen how fabulous hopefully looks in it, I can hardly restrain myself from ordering it. ollie I agree that navy might be better for you. But, have you seen what they charge for international delivery??

scarfi Glad you got some ABs now. Hope you can get some rest during the day too.

bloss Escaped cabin fever too by brisk walk into town and sushi for lunch. Thought of you as I was wearing "our" Pure jacket for the first time after winter today. Love it! Are you still wearing yours or is it banished to the back of the wardrobe since Roxy arrived?

ollie I think considering potential MU outfits when you are still feeling fragile post-OP is not a good idea. But Janice would be definitely appropriate cave-attire Smile.

notyummy · 17/02/2012 13:35

Just a quickie!

Thank goodness you went to the docs Scarf- hope the abs work soon.

Ollie- hope the healing is progressing.

Hopefully- you look amazing.i am sure they will have a rush on those dresses now!

Bloss- 1200 cals a day would leave me chewing my own limbs, but I am a glutton!

Fritzi- what a great compliment.

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 13:40

Yes Fritzi saw the P&P, gulp. Thinking I should order both to try to justify cost Smile and try and return one before DH sees credit card needs paying Dred to think what I end up paying for P&P on an annual basis.

OllieinOrange · 17/02/2012 13:41

Sorry - keyboard is sticking - should have written 'dread'

FritziGreenEyes · 17/02/2012 13:59

ollie I always justify delivery charges with the fact that I don't have to pay anything for parking/coffee etc. when online shopping Grin

blossoming · 17/02/2012 14:00

I'm just curious notyummy. Following apuski's lead I have the my fitness app on my phone and am logging. They gave me 100 cals after my walk into town, and I think I'll get another 250 for shredding.
fritzi, my Aigle has been surgically attached to me for months. The Pure jacket and the Roxy are awaiting spring!
Me & Em dress is so the new Janice! Sorely tempted myself but cannot justify.

Fleecy · 17/02/2012 14:08

Gah all this talk about the dress and now I want the grey as well - have only ordered the navy and can't afford both! i don't really have the money for the navy and was going to get it in March but then I signed up with them and they sent me 10% off which was only valid for 10 days so it would actually have been dearer next month...

ollie you do sound much happier today - hope the bleeding is getting better!

scarf I'm glad you've got ABs and hope they help clear things up quickly.

bloss I've been using My Fitness Pal and am averaging 1400 calories a day so I would say if I weren't bfing 1200 would be fine. But I do have to think about what I eat and choose wisely so as not to get hungry. Typical day (today!): eggs and veg for breakfast, chocolate cookie (homemade) mid morning, veg soup for lunch, fruit and yogurt/oatcakes and cheese/brazil nuts/veg sticks for afternoon snack, whatever we're all having as a family for dinner (stir fry with prawns, veg and noodles today) then marmite and butter on a piece of toast in the evening with a glass of skimmed milk (bloody love milk!).

Dauphin · 17/02/2012 14:25

Congratulations,Blue, and welcome baby!!! Good weight. Mine were big, and I'm not. DD2 was 8 lb 9! She was 9 days overdue though.

Red we were due before 4 couples in our NCT group. And came last. I am Blush to say I cried every time someone else had their baby ahead of us! Silly me. I am an impatient soul.

Scarfi Hope you are okay. Do try to rest and take special care (know it isn't easy to rest with little ones though).....

Ollie Hope you are pain free and okay.

We've had a lovely half term, loads of things to do and days out, but boy, will I be glad for Monday to come around. It. Is. Exhausting.

Dh just called and said we were having take-out tonight....thankfully. That means no cooking for virtually the entire weekend, as we have lunch with children out tomorrow, and dinner with friends tomorrow night, and are going to DH's sisters' for lunch on Sunday....Hallelujah!

Did manage to pop into a fab vintage shop and bought DD2 a lovely red painted rush seat chair and polka dot messgae board for her room. And red handknitted hooded cardigan...v sweet.
