Hopefully, your sister looks amazing in the red dress. I will let you know what the Me&Em dress is like. Anything I've bought from them, I've liked. I did buy a lot but it was my 40th (eek).

Pickled, when do you finish work? Tennis sounds good! This is the bag. No more bags for a long time for me!!!

Ollie, this is the Alexa. It was 20% off in Heathrow. That is a beautiful watch. I did have a watch on my list but my grandmother gave me a lovely Seiko watch at the weekend.

Dauphin · 15/02/2012 10:24

hi everyone! Am having a very leisurely day with the DCs. We have a day off from activities today, and are going to enjoy being at home and make some Pecan Muffins together. Might try to see The Muppets tomorrow with parents...

Scarfy Happy Birthday...sorry if it;s belated...haul sounds gorgeous. Why not hang on to the money for another bag later. You know how you got fed up with the red Anna?! (Tell me to mind my own business)....Can anyone link to the Me and Em dress, haven't a clue what it looks like. Love your DDs choice in clothes!

Marsha Was in a similar situation with my hairdresser...but felt aggrieved at the cost. Have found someone who used to work at top London salon locally now, and its much more palatable cost wise. Sure you'll look amazing anyway.

We do cards for Valentines, and cooked a lovely meal and had a glass of red, as we are trying to be healthy, although DH did bring a bottle of Veuve home ......

Hopefully · 15/02/2012 10:33

Keep thinking of other things I meant to post this morning...

In other health kick related news, I've just ordered a pot of matcha powder. My mother wanted to try some after a friend going on about how amazing it is, so we've splashed out on a pot each to see if we magically lose weight/gain energy/have fabulous skin/have glossy hair/don't get a single ailment/sprout wings and fly.

Am debating ordering Me and Em or a Ce Me dress. Did someone say the Ce me dresses were nice or crapola? Or maybe I'lll just order both to try on...

OllieinOrange · 15/02/2012 10:42

I tried 2 Ce Me dresses on Hopefully - they were great but just didnt suit me style wise (deep V back). The jersey was lovely and thick - v good quality.

OllieinOrange · 15/02/2012 10:43

scarfaholic hmm, Im flying back from Heathrow from the MU. Wonder if there is a Hermes watch to be found with 20% off????

Russianred · 15/02/2012 10:46

Morning all. Am sitting on DS' floor in a University hoodie and a pair of appalling trackie b's whilst I wait for the wallpaper steamer to heat up. Such glamour.

Scarf what a great haul. So glad you had a good weekend.

I will whip out the tape measure and have a go on that app later. Sounds very interesting - thanks for linking Ollie. Lovely stuff on the Ronit Zilkha website although the bit about children made me laugh - a wonderful cashmere dress that your little one will wear for years. Umm, not mine!

Hurrah for being near your target weight Hopefully, you sound to be in a great place, is lovely to read.

We have steam! Back later...

Marsha, DS is in school now and it does mean that I actually get free time. Half days are not much use really in terms of trying to get things done. Am I right in thinking that DS1 will be moving from his current school in Sept? If that's the case it may be nice for DS2 to start whilst big bro is still there. Do you think he would enjoy/could cope with a full day? A full day is normally cheaper than 2 half days IME. I have just booked in one of DD's friends for a weekly maths tutorial which suits me fine in terms of earning a little bit/ making a contribution.

AmberNectarine · 15/02/2012 11:08

Can someone enlighten me as to how we're measuring bras these days? I was doing that app thing so measured my bust etc but also measured around my rib cage which came out as 28" - I wear a 34 bra. Am I wearing totally the wrong size bra?!

Hopefully how fabulous is your sister?!

ollie it was before the massage actually, though I don't imagine that hurt.

scarf great haul, glad you had a lovely time!

red I'm still in my PJs so even less glamour going on here.

Hopefully · 15/02/2012 11:09

I think you'll all be terribly impressed with the restraint I am showing today. I have ordered 3 Ce Me dresses and one Me and Em dress to try.

I may just go and freeze my debit card for a while...

Hopefully · 15/02/2012 11:10

Amber, yes you are, definitely. At most with a 28" under bust you could be a 32 in some makes, but in others you will be a 28/30 back.

pickledsiblings · 15/02/2012 11:17

Scarf, lovely bag, I remember MrsCB coveting similar in black. It is a bit of a browny red though which would make me reconsider whether I needed it plus the tan Alexa.

scarfaholic · 15/02/2012 11:32

Pickled, Dauphin, you are right but I am weak so on my way in (armed with rich tea biscuits for energy) to check it out in person. I am leaning towards holding off.

Ollie, have a look at the list of Heathrow shops, it is worth waiting for the 20% off if they have it. They will probably hold it for you too, they put the bag aside for me.

AmberNectarine · 15/02/2012 11:33

Right definitely popping to Bravissimo tomorrow after I meet DH for lunch then. The girls have suffered enough punishment without me wearing a rubbish bra! Thanks Hopefully - good shopping btw, like the look of the Ce Me dresses, and the Me&Em one.

FritziGreenEyes · 15/02/2012 11:34

DH took DD to school this morning. As a reward for all the work I did yesterday, I went back to bed with a cup of tea to read my book for half an hour before getting dressed etc. Woke up half an hour ago and didn't even hear the phone ringing in my study (door closed), oooops Blush Grin

blossoming · 15/02/2012 11:46

Hi everyone. So good to see you posting again scarfi. Have missed you and have been worried about you.

What a great 40th haul! I'm going to go against the grain and say I think that AH bag is absolutely your style, structured and classic, and a great colour. Not like the Anna, which my HoC constultant didn't like (how dare she!) for me. Said it was too unstructured.

I've just come back from a great bike ride with DS. He struggled on the way up as it is very steep indeed (you stop to catch your breath just walking it). But because we were on our own, we could come down at our own speed, and did 2 miles in 4 minutes (according to DS's bike computer). Such a thrill.

Now heading next door for lunch with my parents. I may borrow one of her million silk square scarves and spend the afternoon with Wendi. As I have sort of ordered a very unlike me square silk scarf from JL here. Thought it would soften up the Roxy for more sophiscated occasions. I also ordered the whistles seam back tee, not much point just ordering one thing is there .. Wink

FritziGreenEyes · 15/02/2012 11:59

scarfi Belated happy birthday! How could I have missed that yesterday? Great shopping haul Smile

ReineDeSaba · 15/02/2012 12:20

Hi ladies..

amber I really like that pineapple scarf.

ollie I am showing my (middle) age..the Kitchen aid sounds tempting!

fritzi your comment about ants being a great sister made me think there is a nice sisterhood feeling on this thread

ReineDeSaba · 15/02/2012 12:21

emo swine flu notices just gone up at DD1's school..obviously making a comeback [sceptical]

ReineDeSaba · 15/02/2012 12:22

oops..keep forgetting to say hi to breton and sanuk hope you both had good St val's

OllieinOrange · 15/02/2012 12:28

Just checked, Im at the wrong terminal for Hermes at Heathrow (boo) but there is a new Hermes shop at Schipol/Amsterdam airport (yey). Just need to compare pound/euro prices as things often more exxy over here.

A belated Happy Birthday scarfaholic. Sounds like you had some lovely gifts and rightly so.

Hopefully which Ce Me dresses did you go for. They have some good reductions on their own website and some fab colours too.

Boys home from school and want to do some painting and sticking. Saw theses which we are going to try and recreate dragon heads!

Hopefully · 15/02/2012 12:38

Ollie I ordered larissa, usha and shian. I really wanted to order something in the lovely bright mustard they have, but all the styles were a bit wrong on me.

Emo76 · 15/02/2012 13:27

scarfi happy birthday belated and bag envy from me!!

MarshaBrady · 15/02/2012 14:04

Pickled well done on the tutoring sounds perfect. Yes not sure if he would be ok with full days, but you are right not much can be done in half a day. As he gets older it's more likely of course. Not sure whether people will hold out much longer. I have another week or so to decide.

Dauphin thanks! yes I did an ex-London one at a local place for a few cuts and he was fine. But still not cheap £47 which I found still grated, as the music was hideous, radio with shouty adverts, and the magazines were cheap! So this time will try a rather energetic, positive one I saw at Aveda and see if there is a difference. Probably not much to my hair, but maybe to the experience. I'm always a bit grumbly about the cost no matter where I go. Colour at Aveda is ok though I don't mind paying for that, just the cut always seems like a lot.

Dauphin · 15/02/2012 14:30

scarfi totally get your predicament. I have been known to obsess over the odd thing myself in the past Wink. You've got to discount it in your own head...or not, as the case may be, but what a lovely predicament to have! Hope you are feeling better. Look after yourself. DH off to Ireland today, ooh, I wonder if he will pop by the Mulberry shop at LH to buy me a belated valentine pressie...er, probably, indeed, certainly ... not, methinks.

scarfaholic · 15/02/2012 15:46

Dauphin, drop your dh a hint!

Emo, I have another lip balm recommendation for you, Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm.

Hi Bloss, thanks, that is very nice of you. I like the scarf. I need to get a bike, there are great areas for cycling here.

Going shopping on no food for 3 days was a bit of a mistake! I bought this dress, which I now slightly regret as I won't get much wear out of it. It is nice on though and you can't return sales purchases so I'll just have to make DH take me out more. LK Bennett have some great clothes for spring. Also got a nice black cardigan in the Jigsaw sale, which I don't see online.

The AH bag is a lovely red but I prefer the larger size, which is more ££. I need to save and add to my dad's money. You're right, Bloss, it was the shape of the Anna bag I didn't like in the end. Anyway, I think the Alexa is enough for one week. I'm losing the run of myself!
