I AM MUMSNETTING IN THE BATH!!!

Ahem.

which brings me to ask, for the ultimate bathing experience what should i put in the water?

Is it something cheap and clever like avocado oil? Or something hilariously extravagent and divine? tell me and i will slavishly go and buy it before my next bath.

Nooooo.

The best ones are:
Neal's Yard Geranium & Orange bath oil (for gorgeous smell)
Neal's Yard Seaweed & Arnica bubble bath if you are feeling a bit rough or achy

(They are not especially cheap but a lot cheaper than some of the ones mentioned on here at least!)

Also various Lush ones, but there it's easier just to go in and sniff things and choose your favourite, as different people do like different ones (and some do make your bath mucky/sparkly, so check first!). Can't think what my favourites are at the moment (some have been discontinued), but I agree Karma is nice.

Top tip - if you are using bath bombs and don't want them to make the bath dirty, it helps to put a little bit of bubble bath or shower gel in the water as well. It doesn't always totally stop them staining, but does seem to reduce it.

Badedas, and Fenjal are my favourite mid price ones - lush is a bit overpowering for me.

It's not exactly a luxury product, but I love Original Source Black Pepper and Chili.
