What is the ultimate perfect stuff to put in my bath?

I AM MUMSNETTING IN THE BATH!!!

Ahem.

which brings me to ask, for the ultimate bathing experience what should i put in the water?

Is it something cheap and clever like avocado oil? Or something hilariously extravagent and divine? tell me and i will slavishly go and buy it before my next bath.

I like badedas

cyb · 05/02/2012 21:19

Any 'This Works' bath Oil

One of the few I've tried where the fragrance stays on your skin all day

fridakahlo · 05/02/2012 21:21

Badedas bath gelee, smells lovely, makes fab bubbles nad leaves you feeling clean too.
Closely followed by L'Occitaine lavender bath salts and bath bubbles.
But if I could only use one thing for the rest of my life it would be the Badedas.

Can't beat a bit of Mr Matey.

Matches · 05/02/2012 21:27

OMG I want that Laura Mercier honey thing

Especially as it comes with it's own tool

Is it actually bubbly? I love bubbles, not so keen on oils

Matches · 05/02/2012 21:30

I love Badedas too, used to have it as a child and still use it now

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 05/02/2012 21:33

Dp and my dds all hate the smell of Badedas and complain whenever I use it. Still, it's one bubble bath that the dds don't steal anyway. :)

I am currently addicted to the body shops candied ginger stuff with is deliciously spicy but sweet and the body butter is especially delicious before bed!

Havingkittens · 05/02/2012 21:43

Floris bath & shower gels are really nice and contain olive oil so they are quite moisturising. I like the Elite one, and the Clementine one that they only seem to have in the sale after Christmas in John Lewis.

I also love Aromatherapy Associates bath oils.

MuslinSuit · 05/02/2012 21:50

Someone gave me the Sanctuary mum-to-be stuff and it's so lovely, doesn't smell perfumey like their standard stuff but smells like soft skin Confused and is just lush. Really gentle. In white and purple packaging. It was only little sizes so I need to go to Boots to see if I can get it again in a bigger size.

Body Shop do exfoliating gloves which are amazeballs with a shower oil, leave you really soft and feeling like you've had a spa treatment, honestly. Only cost a couple of quid.Quite satisfying scrubbing yourself down too. Think best with an oil though.

neals yard

I'm not a big Neals Yard fan, but this stuff is fab, smells Devine, bubbles, no oily residue in the bath but skin is left lovely and soft. Price not bad either, Waitrose stock it.

BellaVita · 05/02/2012 21:59

Laura Mercier Tarte au Citron absolutely divine!

BellaVita · 05/02/2012 22:00

Matches, it is gorgeous and yes they come with their own honey thing!

hellymelly · 05/02/2012 22:09

I love Ren too. That bath oil is the best thing ever.Although Estee Lauder youth dew bath oil is lovely in an old school 50s glamour kind of a way too. Oh and penhaligon's bluebell bath oil.

Hi, another vote for the Laura Mercier creme brulee honey bubble bath... I got it as a gift for Christmas and can't believe how expensive it is to buy, however it's GORGEOUS! I normally scorn such over the top priced stuff but I really like this. It does make lovely bubbles and you don't need all that much - I am ekeing it out as I can't imagine myself buying another jar when it's gone!

JasperJohns · 05/02/2012 22:16

I have just enjoyed a lovely bath with Jo Malone.

I have to use a mixture of the body wash and the oil as I want bubbles!

Smells divine.

VerityBrulee · 05/02/2012 22:55

You can still get Badedas??! That has made my day, will search it out tomorrow. Even the name brings me right back to the 1970s Grin

Verity - Pears Soap
Mean anything to ya? For me, Pears & Badedas represent the official Washing Smellls of my childhood

Shiseido Aromatic Bath Essence. Love it!

CuttlefishDramas · 06/02/2012 19:27

Cut the sock part from a pair of tights, fill "sock" with oats, throw into bath. Soak and have lovely soft skin...

Aaah...

CuttlefishDramas · 06/02/2012 19:27

Wait!! Tie the sock up first!!

Don't want to make porridge...

Ren gift set for £17. I seldom take a bath, it would last me a year.

I prefer a shower.

ooer · 06/02/2012 19:48

Essential oils - 5 drops of lavender, 5 of geranium. Doesn't change the texture of the water but smells divine. I bathe every night.
