Well done you! They look properly shocking on me, nearly as bad as treggings.

MissFoodie · 04/02/2012 19:34

definitely not. half the time they call them jeggings in shops but they're just brilliantly comfortable skinny jeans :)

cheesesarnie · 04/02/2012 19:34

im wearing mine atm!
as someone that finds it hard to find trousers in my size i love my jeggings.
got to have decent ones though not those cheap crappy pretend denim

MrsMcEnroe · 04/02/2012 19:35

Yes.

Unless they have jean-style pockets on the bum and at the hips, are thicker than normal legging material, are the colour of proper jeans, aren't see -through and have proper jean-type double-stitched side seams and rivets. In which case they may be OK (I have some from Gap and they are lovely!).

mirpuppet · 04/02/2012 19:49

Jeggings often = skinny jeans; and are fine. Depends on the shop.

dexter73 · 04/02/2012 19:51

If they look good then wear them!

lisaro · 04/02/2012 19:52

Usually yes, and always on tubby people.

FoofFighters · 04/02/2012 20:36

no if you cover your fanjo :)

cheesesarnie · 04/02/2012 20:48

yes-fanjo must be covered

DuchessEm · 04/02/2012 22:18

I have a couple of pairs and they are the same material as skinny jeans, but are pull-up, rather than zip-fly. They are very comfortable and don't fall down or go baggy at the knees like skinnies do an hour after putting them on! I am converted and was most put out when I had to wear actual jeans today as my jeggings were in the wash!

MinnieBar · 04/02/2012 22:22

No.

If you are 5 or under.

CointreauVersial · 04/02/2012 22:56

I love my Uniqlo jeggings, they look exactly like skinny jeans from the arse downwards, but don't fall down or go lumpy under long tops.

I don't like the stretchy jersey type ones much.

NewChoos · 04/02/2012 22:57

ok mine look like jeans and are the thicker material (almost like chino's) and so I think I am ok - phew.

MissFoodie · 04/02/2012 23:28

mine are like jeans, zip, button, pockets etc - nice high waist and look fab with ballerinas or high heel ankle boots!

mathanxiety · 05/02/2012 03:42

If your derriere is anything like mine then yes.

FoofFighters · 05/02/2012 10:23

MissFoodie where are yours from?

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/02/2012 10:46

I never know really what people mean by jeggings as seems to vary so much.

I wear super skinnies like J Brand 901's or Topshop Leighs but they have zips/pockets etc and I don't wear long tops with them.

FoofFighters · 05/02/2012 11:17

I tried on Topshop Leighs yesterday and they are soo comfy but I had the most horrific VPL and saggy arse so I wouldn't be able to wear short tops with them, d'oh!

FoofFighter · 05/02/2012 11:41

Think we have a username disaster waiting to happen here FoofFighters Shock

nenevomito · 05/02/2012 12:23

I've noticed a lot of young women around recently wearing snake skin effect leggings.

Sadly, many look like they have a couple of boa constrictors attempting to eat them alive and about to burst with the effort.

LoonyRationalist · 05/02/2012 12:44

I agree with minniebar Jeggings are a classic fashion item if you are 5 or under.

NewChoos · 05/02/2012 12:50

Mine are black and I think they will look really smart with a Breton or cashmere jumper.
Wil take a look at the topshop leighs as well.

Yes

Anything that beings with any letter of the alphabet and ends in "-eggings" is wrong

I'm DESPERATE to get my little boy the 23" Lights and Sounds Ninky Nonk (from In the Night Garden) Argos had it, changed their book and now no longer stock it! I cannot find it anywhere except Ebay, and it is going for a fortune! Can anyone help?

FlatYouLent · 05/02/2012 14:28
