Sledging/ skating sounds like a lot of fun, Ollie.
No snow here yet as not as cold as yesterday.
MIL, who looks a good 10 years younger and has the energy of a 30 year old, celebrated her 70th birthday yesterday and we are now hoping to visit Singapore for a belated celebration in the Easter holidays. Should be lovely to have a break in the heat!!
Many, many thanks to everyone for the CS feedback. I was always v sleep deprived post SVD (laboured over night/ in the night twice, third time around, couldn't sleep as generally uncomfortable, then contractions started at 5.30am) so lack of exhaustion would be a v positive thing!
Obviously, I am concerned about the potential for surgical complications of CS. It sounds as if everyone on this thread has been fortunate in that regard.
Hoping to have some help by the time baby arrives (v generous PIL offering to help with this) otherwise will definitely be swayed towards SVD out of necessity.
Will see how I feel as pg progresses.
blue- sympathies. I think the count down at the end of pg is hard, particularly as you feel huge, uncomfortable, exhausted due to poor sleep, etc.
My DH is also not the type to fuss over me at all. He expects me to get on with things maybe because I normally do and because he has a lot on his plate too, I suppose. I agree with MIM though that if you explain how rubbish you are feeling, you will probably get far more sympathy and cuddles. I am guilty of expecting my DH to just know how I am feeling without me actually communicating it at all!
MIM- v pleased that you have been discharged and that your parents are helping with DS. You really do need to rest at the moment. Lovely too that your DH has taken the week off to look after you. Doctors orders- lots of red meat, greens, eggs, fruit, etc for your iron levels, healthy snacks and keep warm. :) Hope DH is good at cooking.
zembo- you are v kind to babysit your friend's 3DC (similar ages to mine,a year older a piece).
NY- fabulous Paris hotel!
Thanks for the LM tip, red
My Wardrobe necklace is going back tomorrow and have decided to leave the Byron bag (prefer the Dover if I am honest) so no spend for Feb yet. I am thinking of getting another pair of TS Leighs though as they are SO comfortable. Frustratingly, they don't have my size in most of the colours. I have also bee perusing the Lily and Lionel website after recent scarf links and I just love the prints- v tempting!
