What do you wear in bed? (And don't say "Nothing".)

I am so ashamed of my rather pathetic collection of pyjamas, they're ancient and shapeless and bleurgh colours (ie grey/blue). I feel so unattractive when I crawl under the duvet.

I actually like the idea of a nightdress but they all seem to be either red and black sateen and very small (chilly!), or like something Grandma Walton would wear.

For the love of God, can someone help me?

A rather cosy stripey long nightie, not quite grandma Walton, but not too far off!

PishWife · 19/01/2012 22:26

I had a thread like this a little while ago and someone advised me to just buy a cotton jersey dress.

So now I have a nice white Gap summer dress from this January's sales, and am looking forward to all the cheapo shops doing some jersey maxi-type dresses in a few months.

PishWife · 19/01/2012 22:28

Here you go.

I never did buy that White Company one :(

Honeydragon · 19/01/2012 22:29

Honeydragon · 19/01/2012 22:30

SantieMaggie · 19/01/2012 22:31

primark flannel pjs

LordOfTheFlies · 19/01/2012 22:32

A rather wrinkled pink onesie with white stripey bits across my abdomen.
Needs ironed. And let out in some bits. Taken in at other bits.
Interesting fur trim.(Real of course)

Easy to wash and dry.

mumblechum1 · 19/01/2012 22:34

We shop in the same store Wink

rootietootie · 19/01/2012 22:35

Honeydragon · 19/01/2012 22:35

The problem with those onsies are if you stretch them they never quite get back to their original shape Hmm

Grin
PishWife · 19/01/2012 22:37

How do you wee/shag in a onesie?

daenerysstormborn · 19/01/2012 22:37

chickydoo · 19/01/2012 22:40

I shop at the same place as LordOfTheFlies but have the XL version, less wrinkles, more rolls

M&S had some nice nightwear in pre christmas. Worth a look?

brighthair · 19/01/2012 22:57

New look v soft trackie bottoms (elastic at bottom) and vest

jasperJohns · 19/01/2012 23:01

OK, I'm going to say nothing!

Don't pyjamas get all twisty and annoying? I just can't bear the sensation of clothes in bed. I love pyjamas though - for lounging about in, but they have to come off in bed.

MissFoodie · 19/01/2012 23:03

I've started investing in pijamas: Hush and John Lewis, also got a limited collection m&s number last week!

BadRoly · 19/01/2012 23:08

Yes JasperJohns - I agree, pyjamas are a nightmare in bed! I am either naked or in one of my 2 (11year old) Mothercare maternity nighties Blush

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 20/01/2012 01:44

Nightshirts, but they're more like long v-neck T-shirts, the older and more washed-out the better. But then I am very single.

dexter73 · 20/01/2012 07:41

I wear nighties like a long t-shirt. Can't stand pyjamas as they annoy my legs.

Jessicaalbastwin · 20/01/2012 07:54

Nighties, silk or cotton. I can't stand pyjamas or anything long sleeved in bed. I usually get them from la senza.

SunnilyEnough · 20/01/2012 11:10

Thanks everyone for all the replies - think White Company and Hush are the best bets.
