Be as honest as you like - I can take these ones back so if you hate them please say.

I know geek chic is in for glasses but I think they might be too big and black. I only wear them for reading and computer, so they will not be my all day, everyday look.

Thank you!

I think they're pretty cool for reading/computer but too 'statementy' for all day.

DottyDot · 13/01/2012 15:13

OK - I'm definitely no style expert but I think they're too big... sorry...

It's just you have such a lovely face and eyes and they're taking away from that. But I'm aware I sound like your mother so will let others who know more give wiser advice.

I'd personally get smaller frames - not sure about the colour - maybe dark brown to go with your hair?

Byeckerslike · 13/01/2012 15:14

Hmm, i think the black of the frame really suits you and your colouring, but i do think they are generally a little big for your face, i would stick with the colour but go for something with a smaller lense imo. Sorry Blush

emrys · 13/01/2012 15:32

Thank you for the opinions! 2-1 so far in favour of getting rid of them...

I'm counting toddlerama as a yes vote because I'm happy with 'statementy' when it's just for reading/computer :)

Agree with toddlerama

HipHopOpotomus · 13/01/2012 15:39

I like the black frame look (all of DP's family wear very similar style) however I do think these particular ones are too big for your face.
(I was expecting to see loads of frame options on your profile :) - I took so many photos last time I looked)

MarshaBrady · 13/01/2012 15:42

They are too big I think. You do have a lovely face and they are overpowering.

SpacegirlRevisited · 13/01/2012 15:53

I LOVE them. They suit you and make you appear confidant in my opinion.

lou33 · 13/01/2012 15:57

They are lovely but slightly too big I think, but the shape definitely suits you.

emrys · 13/01/2012 16:15

Hmm, my suspicions are being confirmed - these may not be the ones.

I'm afraid they look like the 3d specs you get in the cinema IMO

vixsatis · 13/01/2012 16:20

Black frame and shape good and really suit you; but they're just a little too big for your face

emrys · 13/01/2012 16:21

THANKS Fanjo! Thanks

Another vote for (slightly) too big. The style and shape are good, they just need to be a bit smaller.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 13/01/2012 16:24

emrys, hope I didn't offend, was just giving my honest opinion, you could, I imagine, look pretty with any specs on though.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 13/01/2012 16:26

but if you havent seen the cinema ones just look up "3d glasses cinema" on Google images... :)

HamblesHandbag · 13/01/2012 16:29

Another vote for just a leeetle bit too big. I really like the style, but you can see too much of your skin through the lenses IYSWIM. Scaled down that shape and colour suits you.

emrys · 13/01/2012 16:30

No no you didn't offend me at all Fanjo!

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 13/01/2012 16:30

oh good, i hoped not :)

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 13/01/2012 16:33

Far too large.
Black frame and chunky, yes.

emrys · 13/01/2012 16:35

Hambles that's it I think! Too much space. Thank you all, I will continue my nightmare of a glasses hunt. HipHop I would have put more frame options up but these were the only ones I even vaguely liked. But my opticians is tiny with not much choice. I will head into the city for some better and no doubt more hideously expensive frames Smile

No. Colour good, style wayyyy too big for your elfin face :)

I can see you in something similar to this www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/fashion/roxy-16/

Mi4 · 13/01/2012 16:37

If you really love the geekchic look how about these? www.specsavers.co.uk/karen-millen/

Your features are similar to the model's and they look fab on her.

Deux · 13/01/2012 16:42

I was just looking at new specs yesterday and apparently bigger frames are the next big thing in eye wear.

I think the colour and shape is good but they need to sit a bit higher on the bridge of your nose iyswim. I think you have too much of your face on show between the bottom of your eye and the frame. I don't think they are too wide for your face, it's the vertical dimensions.

Having said all that, if you are not wearing them the whole time and you like the look, go for it.
