Best bra ever!

frownieface · 06/01/2012 20:03

Ok so I have purchased today THE.BEST.BRA.EVER. I want to sing from the roof tops, it's like having two pillows over my boobs (as in its soft and comfortable). The under wire is properly covered and the straps are thick, its white at the moment...

Must find that episode of the IT crowd where Moss invents the best bra.

What is your BEST.BRA.EVER. moment?

Well don't just stand there singing from the rooftops - tell us which brand / model it is Grin

MsBazinga · 06/01/2012 20:06

I got my best bra ever in Sainsburys of all places.

dementedma · 06/01/2012 20:09

name it! name it!

floweryblue · 06/01/2012 20:09

MY best bra ever was Sloggi Sensual, underwired, no padding, totally comfortable and appropriate for a 36A who needs minimal support. I loved them, bought loads. Now they don't exist any more and my stocks are worn out, so I wear a vest.

paranoidandroidwreckmyownlife · 06/01/2012 20:09

Mine is the panache porcelain bra. Sooo comfy!

boohoobabywho · 06/01/2012 20:10

now funnily enough i bought one in sainsbury's and had to go back and buy two more so i now have three. one pink, one white and one nude.

the nude one is the comfiest

DontCallMeBaby · 06/01/2012 20:11

I'm with paranoidandroid in the Panache Porcelain corner. I used to buy all sorts of different bras, now I only buy those. Though I like the comforting sound of the pillows, but not the mental image that brings to mind ...

KateShmate · 06/01/2012 20:12

M&S '2 sizes bigger' bra... in the sale for £9! Was so happy, looks amazing (if I do say so myself!) and I actually bought 2 identical ones because I love them so much.
Is super comfy but not today because I have a large cyst under my armpit which the bra keeps on rubbing on.. but I refuse to take it off Sorry, bit TMI.

FabbyChic · 06/01/2012 20:12

I got my best bras from Asda, they fit perfectly 36F, just t shirt bras, but they don't ride up my back, the straps don't chafe, excellent.

otchayaniye · 06/01/2012 20:14

well, they're not sexy but i've been breastfeeding for years in 34e anita underwired bras. they are the dogs nuts.

other than that its rigby and peller three quarter balconettes

tipp2chicago · 06/01/2012 20:16

Best bra I ever bought was by Fauve. €84 and worth every single cent.

Am 34GG though so only wear Fantasie, Freya and Fauve. No buying anywhere only lingerie boutiques for me. Dunno what I'm going to do when junior arrives and I'm going to need a nursing bra - underwired ones seem to be few and far between...

otchayaniye · 06/01/2012 20:18

tipp, get the anita ones -- think they do a G

Spuddybean · 06/01/2012 20:23

I've never ever had a comfy bra, i'm just not made for bra's

The only place that do close to my size is M&S (burst into tears recently in John Lewis after the nth comment from and assistant about my freaky body!) and only in certain ranges and styles. The cups are always too close together which makes my boobs sit weird. i have always got bra marks when i take them off.

EllenandBump · 06/01/2012 20:25

My most comfy bras are ALL the ones i purchased recently! For the first time i seem to have found my correct size, 36D, and i am happy at that, i currently have a couple from sainsburys, one from tescos and a couple from primarks too. All are comfortable. x

frownieface · 06/01/2012 20:25

It was in the clearance section of TKMAXX, Vassarette is the name, from a quick Google looks like an American company owned by Vanity Fair. Seriously It's like it's been made to measure and feels it too.

I am 26 years old and have never felt a bra like it Grin

Can I go a bit off topic please (sorry op)? My ds is nearly 5mths now and even though I'm still bf I can't bear not wearing an underwired bra anymore. I know you can get underwired nursing bras but money is a bit tight at the mo and I was wondering if I could go back to wearing my normal bras? I'm so fed up of having a monoboob and very little support (36e) and by god they need supporting :)

Bluestocking · 06/01/2012 20:34

I got some fab ones from Monoprix when I forgot to pack any undies before going to France. Excellent matching pants too, practically the only knicks I've ever had which don't crawl up my clenk. I was really surprised, as I'd been feeling a bit snobby about buying supermarket undies.

otchayaniye · 06/01/2012 20:36

birnamwood, i wore normal bras when i. was feeding less. others would caution against it but i'd give it a go. maybe not all day long and not at night.

Birnamwood · 06/01/2012 20:41

Otc, that's pretty much what I was thinking of doing, he's feeding less now ( well going longer between feeds) and I just want a bit more stability. I think I'll try it for a while and see howit goes.

My bestest bra ever was bought from Victoria's secret. Really comfy and gave me the best cleavage :)

Fleurdebleurgh · 06/01/2012 20:42

All of my bras are made by PrimaDonna and are amazeballs.

PierceDeere · 06/01/2012 20:47

The best bras I ever had were Gossard Glossies.
No annoying lace, front-fastening bliss.

I miss them.

littlesaintnicola · 06/01/2012 20:50

I dont think I have a clenk Bluestocking Confused -is it near your clack?

Sparklingbrook · 06/01/2012 20:54

I got measured for a bra today and ended up with a Triumph Amourette Romance. It fits. Bliss.

kreechergotstuckupthechimney · 06/01/2012 20:55

Oooh Glossies. Loved those when I was less generous of nork.

mrspnut · 06/01/2012 20:57

I adore the PN53 by Panache. I buy it from Bravissimo every few months and probably own every colour it's ever been made in.

It is so comfortable that every time I try a different make I end up pulling at my bra all day long.
