Best bra ever!

frownieface · 06/01/2012 20:03

Ok so I have purchased today THE.BEST.BRA.EVER. I want to sing from the roof tops, it's like having two pillows over my boobs (as in its soft and comfortable). The under wire is properly covered and the straps are thick, its white at the moment...

Must find that episode of the IT crowd where Moss invents the best bra.

What is your BEST.BRA.EVER. moment?

You are all wrong. The best bra ever is the St Tropez by Pour Moi. Norks sit comfortably exactly where they should, good coverage, excellent side support, and they are very pretty, as are them matching knickers etc.

Figleaves have them in their sale atm, some of the colourways are only £10.

SarahStratton · 06/01/2012 21:19

'the matching knickers', not 'them matching knickers'. Blush

frownieface · 06/01/2012 21:21

Vanity fair, american brand who cater for busts well imo.

ex v posh bra shop worker bee.

NoHunIntended · 06/01/2012 21:28

tipp2chicago, I love the Hot Milk range for nursing, some of them go up to fairly busty sizes.
Birnamwood, they are not underwired, but support my 32GGs really well, and this place now has them on offer: www.snugglebug-direct.com/hotmilk.html?gclid=CNmkr92qvK0CFS9ItAodtTCf_A.

MrsLinks · 06/01/2012 21:28

I am big fan of the Panache Porcelaine too, ve pleased that my purple one still fits post pg.

rathlin · 06/01/2012 21:34

best one ever was a feeding bra in john lewis after wearing a mothercare one piece of crap for several months. I would have quite happily danced around the store in it minus my top! It's only when you get one that fits really well that you then realise how bad the previous one was. I binned the mothercare one in the little bin in the changing room:)

Birnamwood · 06/01/2012 21:52

NoHun, thanks for the link.

Rathlin, I'm wearing the mothercare piece of shit bra and I'm just about at the end of my teather!

QueeferSantaland · 06/01/2012 22:02

Anita underwired are the bestest.

007alert · 06/01/2012 22:17

Any ideas on what to do if your boobs are different sizes? The lady in the ingerie shop told me that most people have one larger than the other, but then totally failed to get me anything that really fitted. And I felt mortified that I was a freak. :( If it helps. I'm small - 32 A/B

Please can someone else be in the same boat so I don't feel even more weird.

At the moment I wear t shirt bras with moulded cups, and one is rather less filled than the other.

LordFlashheart · 06/01/2012 22:24

Freya are the best.

startail · 06/01/2012 22:29

DD2 moaned about underwired bras. They are more awkward to get out the way when you want to turn a cuddle into a quick snack.
Ordinary non wide bras are far easier to BF in than feeding ones. Just shove them up out of the way, no stupid clips.

Theas18 · 06/01/2012 22:31

I'll say what I said before on another thread- if you feel you aren't comfy or "can't be fitted" get yourself to bravissimo. THe lovliest sensitive ladies in the world will fit you by eye and 9/10 times the 1st bra will be perfect.

I'm starting to believe what they say about most people wearing the wrong size. Given that I'm substantially overweight and a 36 underband, and the rest of my knitting group are similar (we knit between a 40 and 47 inch chest sweater for instance) and none of us wears more than a 38 under band- some do have substantial norkage though.

I would say go talk to bravissimo even if you "think" you are a B/C cup- I would bet a quid that you are a couple of sizes less on the band and a could of sized up on the cup.

frankie76 · 06/01/2012 22:45

Ok I am going to tell you an insider secret Goddard glossies are coming back launching in march

And for large sized bras try the simply b website and check out their size range

OliviaMumsnet · 06/01/2012 22:55

We are going to move this to S&B
Thanks

Anita Anita rah rah rah
I must have German boobs

plantsitter · 06/01/2012 23:15

Mine is the Bestform Sophie. It is made out of really soft stuff, is a bit sexy and lacy and FITS. And it has a dangly little 'B' which hangs between your boobs (B for boobs, as DH persists in saying).

ChablisLover · 06/01/2012 23:17

Triumph super soft

Feel like not even wearing a bra.

Love it - this is my go to everyday comfort bra
