Where oh where can I find leggings that you can't see through when wearing them. I have tried M & S, NEXT, Boden & Monsoon, and non of them were thick enough to not see through when they were on. I am a size 12, so I don't think I want them to stretch too much. Please can anyone help?

I got some of these. Mine are the maternity version, but these are the same - material is thick and warm.

bagelmonkey · 02/01/2012 13:01

I got some from asda that are pretty good. Not v stretchy, (a bit stiff really).

Mrsrobertduvall · 02/01/2012 17:07

Ditto Topshop...dd has 3 pairs in black, navy and burgundy.

primark shape control £4 best ever leggings!

fedupofnamechanging · 02/01/2012 18:48

Peacocks do some seam free ones, which are thick and well made. Not to be confused with their usual ones, which split at the crotch after 5 minutes. The seam free ones have a slightly shiny finish, but I've had mine a while and they haven't ripped yet and have survived loads of washes without going baggy.

VeniVidiVino · 02/01/2012 18:51

Try the dancedirect catalouge (also online, try google), I've had them from there for dancewear and they sometimes slip into my normal wardrobe. Very good quality and haven't thinned/split at all.

Primark! Their sucky in ones are ace and don't leave a muffin top, nor are they see through.

Phase eight ones. Gorgeous. 20 quid a pair but sublime. Have gone right off my gap ones. They wash beautifully tooo

MissBetsyTrotwood · 02/01/2012 20:23

So to jack this thread, how about really high waist ones that don't leave muffin tops?

Sorry, as you were...

stickybean · 02/01/2012 20:25

American apparel winter leggings. V thick, warm and not see through at all.

PuraVida · 02/01/2012 20:30

See I've got phase eight ones, they get really baggy very quickly

I've got Topshop ones that are see through

I've got a couple of American apparel high waisted ones, they're fantastic, thick, tight but not uncomfortably so, font bag or wrinkle or droop but I recently bought another pair 'the sane' and they're really bad quality

They're just so hit and miss, even when bought from the same shop. It's the bane of my life [easy life]

stressheaderic · 02/01/2012 20:31

Would second Peacocks seam free ones. Very very thick and warm.
And I am the leggings expert, must own more than 30 pairs.
Next - too short
Dotty Ps - too thin
Primark - crotch wears away
Red Herring - bobbled really quickly

MissBetsyTrotwood · 02/01/2012 20:47

I know! I tried some Topshop ones the 'same' as some others I found and they were defo not the same.

vesela · 03/01/2012 20:04

All my leggings are from H&M, so I can't compare with anywhere else, but you can't see through H&M ones.

FortiesCromarty · 03/01/2012 20:17

Sainsburys had some Gok leggings which were jodphury style and a massive comfy high waist and not at all see through, however they may only be in dodgy blue at the moment.
They also have some yoga style ones at the moment, the grey ones I can assure you are not see through.

ronx · 03/01/2012 20:20

My Gok leggings shrunk Sad.

FortiesCromarty · 03/01/2012 20:23

Oh, i stretched mine when they came out the machine and they grew a bit!
