Boden have just started their sale ? get in there QUICK!! Grin

What are you all getting?

OP posts:
BensonBunny · 11/12/2011 20:30

I've ordered the boiled wool coat in grey, a jersey tunic, black jersey dress and the Richmond cardigan. Dithered for ages over the cashmere waterfall cardigan but decided that it was more brown than grey so didn't get it in the end.
Also got DS some mini trousers and DD some Johnnie B trousers and pixie boots!

mirpuppet · 11/12/2011 20:38

Way too much in my shopping bag --multiple sizes and colourways as I figure most will be reture. But should reign myself in as box may be too big to carry to post office.

mirpuppet · 11/12/2011 20:39

returned

geraldine62 · 11/12/2011 21:20

Gutted! Put a cashmere cardi in my shopping bag and by the time I'd chosen a couple of other things it had disappeared. Hate that they don't warn you or give you 20 mins or something..

winterfox · 11/12/2011 21:22

gap did that to me the other day geraldine it really pissed me off and they can shove their sales in the future

ujjayi · 11/12/2011 21:55

I have ordered a scarf/wrap thing and the damson heart tee from Johnnie B which I thought might look cool layered over long sleeve tee with skinnies.

Am going to go back for another look but that will probably be my lot.

mirpuppet · 11/12/2011 22:18

I've stepped away from my basket. I have enough clothes and as Johnnie started empty in the most useful items black joyful jersey I realised I didn't really want the rest. Will try less is more in terms of my wardrobe.

PacificDogwood · 11/12/2011 22:20

'Tis all weird though, their women's stuff - I am going off Boden big time.
Still like the kid's things though Smile

blondieminx · 12/12/2011 00:04

ooh thanks for thread, I got the chic velvet coat in heather at less than half price but it took my jumper out of my basket too, soooooo annoyed :(

AlpinePony · 12/12/2011 07:01

Lots of coats which I lusted after at great prices - alas I'm pregnant and the 2 coats I bought in the sale last year have yet to get an airing. Blush (I love coats.)

In the end just got some newborn home-from-hospital stuff and the teddy button-through for my toddler. I'd lost patience waiting for the Boden sale to start and gone out on friday and bought a load of stuff in the Miffy sale.

I want one of the handbags but can't decide between that and a DKNY I've seen so am going to think about it another week or two.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 12/12/2011 10:37

I have all but given up on grown up Boden, but I really like some Johnnie B stuff, have ordered 2 tees, a shirt and a coat, sooooo much cheaper too with out the VATGrin

HoHoOpotomus · 12/12/2011 11:21

it's overpriced even on sale I think.

DingbatsFur · 12/12/2011 12:32

Had a look especially at the fleece lined hoodies for boys, but I can no longer stomach paying that much for kids clothes when I can get something just as nice from Sainsbury's. Bye bye Johnnie!

scarlet76 · 12/12/2011 16:10

Well, it appears that both of my sale parcels have been despatched already - no, I didn't pay for super fast postage either!

So I am waiting on the cashemere tank in fig - had to get a 10 instead of usual 8 but some reviews say it comes up small . The chelsea cardigan in rasin - not sure if this will be a keeper but we will see. The wool scarf in rasin - this will be going back - the matching gloves I purchased recently now have a hole in them after only 2 wears Xmas Angry!!!

Still eyeing the leopard print ballet flats with the bow on the front!

Pseudonymity · 12/12/2011 17:49

I can't find anything I want. Is it just me or has the quality of the knitwear changed? It all seems to be wool mix apart from the cashmere. I seem to remember there was a nice grey cashmere hoodie but it is nowhere to be seen now Sad. The dresses and skirts are too busy for me this year. Skirts with patterns on very hard to wear in winter I would say. I used to like the slightly retro 60s-ish dresses that Boden used to have. Some good coats but I've already bought 2 coats this season. Not a good season for Boden methinks. I used to like their polka dot fine wool scarves too, they don't do that kind of thing anymore. Johnny, are you listening? Xmas Grin

MummyAnnabella · 12/12/2011 17:59

I ordered 2 plain skirts.
Agree re dresses not being nice anymore. I bought 2 a year before and couldn't find one I wanted this year.
Shoes and boots okay but still too pricey in sale.

Think boden are in for a rocky year or two now as people don't have that kind of money to spend on everyday basics. At those prices you can get far better and nicer stuff elsewhere.

jetstar · 12/12/2011 18:15

sucked in! have placed an order (me and DD) Xmas Grin

katkitya · 12/12/2011 19:16

Nothing at all. Even in the sale. It's a first for me.

spiderlight · 12/12/2011 19:30

The site's gone all peculiar for me. Probably just as well.

cookingfat · 12/12/2011 21:25

Maxi dress, Chelsea cardigan, baby slippers. I am now officially a mum.

Millie1 · 12/12/2011 21:51

Agree re their knitwear. All I want is a warm, wool jumper but not cashmere. Everything else seems to be a cotton acrylic mix. Ordered a few things but anticipate returning quite a few.

alemci · 12/12/2011 21:57

I ordered a pair of Boots in mocha. My DH said I could have them for christmas so now I don't feel guilty.

I also ordered a skirt before the sale which worked out cheaper than it is in the sale. I wish i had ordered the brown one though as opposed to the black because I didn't think I had any boots to go with it and the black is difficult to match with my stuff as it has rick rack stuff on the hem but it is a lovely skirt.

ameliagrey · 12/12/2011 22:27

Nothing for me either - a first.

i dithered over a dress which I ordered and returned, and also over a jumper, but decided I don't really need either and jumper @ £49 is still too £££s.

Northernlurker · 13/12/2011 08:02

Mine is here!

Northernlurker · 13/12/2011 08:50

Disaster - ALL perfect! Grin

The double layer dress is beautiful. The drapey jersey top is better than last years which I've worn loads. The retro knit tunic is long but beautiful and feels amazing!
