Sheesh - that's hideous. Even worse that you can buy one for the 3 year old in your life

Yuck, thank goodness Next has got their act together this time! Will be keeping out of M&S.

Boring, boring boys clothes.
Be they Next, Gap, M&S or George, Adams or Tescos ... the all look the same to me. Boring.

mummytosteven · 08/01/2006 18:21

first one is ghastly. Fastasleep's DH will love it, though

second one - not bad, not wild about the logo, but a very nice color. I'ld buy it in the sale

once you get out of the baby stage, boys clothes aren't great - stripes, dinosaurs and diggers are about the best you can hope for. And of course Thomas the Tank.

Spidermama - you could always try Oilily for very expensive but colourful boys clothes!!!

YUCK - it's just as bad a little girls clothes stating they are a sexy chick (or similar connotations) on the front!

Freckle · 08/01/2006 18:23

I despair of boys' clothes in this country. When on holiday in France last year, I scared the wits out of my mother by saying that I was tempted to have another baby just so that I could dress it in the wonderful clothes they have there.

When will the major stores here catch on?

Spidermama · 08/01/2006 18:23

mummytosteven I regularly buy oilily stuff from ebay. It is gorgeous. I hate to say it but Boden also do nice boys stuff. Toff togs too, but it's mainly for girls.

High street stuff for boys is all the same. It's depressing.

mummytosteven · 08/01/2006 18:24

yep high street stuff for boys is pretty uninspiring. good job I like stripes really!

cakewalk for boys clothes, although very limited. often wait for the sales or pick up on ebay. otherwise i'm almost afraid to admit it on mn but boden manages to suit my 2 boys every time!

oh and don't forget monsoon for younger boys.

i think m&s are trying to provide what they think kids want to wear and forgetting that it is the parents who buy it! i hate those tops you cang et nearly everywhere now, that say whatever on teh front!

vickiyumyum · 08/01/2006 18:27

oh and nice and cheap h&m! lovely stripes and street style clothing without being hoody tops!

Twiglett · 08/01/2006 18:29

I like them .. whats wrong with 'em

its just the 3 monkeys (hear no evil, speak no evil) and a dragon (a la power rangers)

Aloha · 08/01/2006 18:32

But what is that guff about being 'designed to be noticed by the urban community'????

Twiglett · 08/01/2006 18:34

dat would be marketing speak .. we am hip an' trendy an' dowwn wiv da massif

I think

Twiglett · 08/01/2006 18:35

I didn't even read it tbh .. I have spent a decade and a half producing marketing guff .. it is very simple to block it out now
