Approx £30 :(

Everyone else is spending loads on new dresses, I went shopping today and couldn't find a thing.. Don't really want to buy something I wouldn't wear again... Need something long, pref floor length, I'm a size 12 and 5ft 6" if you think you can help?!

TIA :)

Actually it was two shops & everything long under about £40 (I couldn't do £30)

I spend a lot of time looking for dresses for DD & I scan well Wink

KatyMac · 03/12/2011 21:52

some here too

bugsonbuns · 03/12/2011 21:52

I would go for Ebay. £30 is not a bad budget for a second hand long evening dress.

HollyTwat · 03/12/2011 21:54

Dorothy Perkins online have some lovely things. Arrive quickly too

thenightsky · 03/12/2011 21:54

Could you borrow something if you are strapped for cash?

I once did that and just paid for dry cleaning before giving fab dress back.

Bellavita · 03/12/2011 22:01

could you stretch to slightly a bit more? you could use the code of Treat11 to get another 25% off....

this is nice too

Both a little over £50 with the extra off.

Chocamochalatte · 03/12/2011 22:02

Woe! Thanks for the suggestions, sorry had to rush off to poorly DS... I like the velvet one katymac linked to... Had forgotten about Debenhams as we don't have one near... Prob should have said my age, feel I'm too young to shop in Ann Harvey!

Tried Dorothy Perkins, couldn't see anything long... Have terrible legs so can def not go short... eBay difficult to know if it's going to fit and get here on time! Tried charity shops but nothing in the right size... Will go and look at the second lot katymac linked too!

Oh i am sorry, I don't have my reading glasses on and I didn't see it had to be long Blush

PattySimcox · 03/12/2011 22:07

Dorothy Perkins

PattySimcox · 03/12/2011 22:08

Fair few on boohoo

tethersjinglebellend · 03/12/2011 22:12

Try Tesco; the links may not work, so have labelled dresses...

F&F Couture Maxi Dress, £20

Stella Morgan Knot Detail Maxi Dress, £28

Tiger Blonde Dress, £30

F&F Limited Edition Embellished Maxi Dress, £10.75

Chocamochalatte · 03/12/2011 22:21

Oh god, am I really fussy?? I don't like any on ASOS, or Boohoo, or Dorothy Perkins... Bella I love the first one you linked to but really can't go short....

Can I wear trousers?!? Would feel more comfortable... Have some lovely black skinnies from H&M, kind of weird wet look ish material with gold zips at the bottom of the ankles...

OP posts:
Bellavita · 03/12/2011 22:30

I really do not think skinnies would be appropriate for a black tie do Grin
