Approx £30 :(

Everyone else is spending loads on new dresses, I went shopping today and couldn't find a thing.. Don't really want to buy something I wouldn't wear again... Need something long, pref floor length, I'm a size 12 and 5ft 6" if you think you can help?!

TIA :)

Black wet look skinnies to a black tie do? Even I know that's wrong!

Bellavita · 03/12/2011 22:36

this?

You could get a further 10% off too.

tethersjinglebellend · 03/12/2011 22:37

Oli Corsage
Oli Diamante
Both between £30 and £40, but free delivery and I'm pretty sure they pick up the item if you want to return it.

Quite a few in New Look

If you're not afraid of colour. No size 12 on website but might be worth calling around if you like it

Don't be ridiculous cat, of course you can go in jumpsuit- a tuxedo one with a blazer will look more elegant than a flammable dress Grin

Have you tried ebay? I have sold lots of evening dresses on there in the past, although don't have any left to help you out I'm afraid.

Chocamochalatte · 04/12/2011 08:39

I'm afraid I don't like the blue Dash one :( what is wrong with me? I don't like any, none of them are 'me'... I've tried eBay loads of lovely shorter dresses but as soon as you get to maxi a) they get really expensive or b) they get frumpy :(

Maybe it will just be easier not to go... I'll have one more look today and link to any thing I find (promise not to think about the skinnies again Wink )

Okay...... What do you all think to this: www.boohoo.com/restofworld/new-in/cassie-chiffon-long-sleeved-side-split-maxi-dress/invt/azz71673/ ???

Could you post a couple of dresses you like regardless of the cost so people can see your 'style'?

KatyMac · 04/12/2011 09:13

I like this
stripes
more stripes
crochet
slinky

I think we have different taste as I couldn't cope with all that material on the one you like

JessieEssex · 04/12/2011 09:19

Nice one from New Look

JessieEssex · 04/12/2011 09:24

too saucy for black tie?

JellyBelly10 · 04/12/2011 09:29

OP, can you not borrow one from a friend or relative? Maybe someone on here could lend you one!! Where are you based? If you're near me (Berkshire) I've got a full-length dark blue fully beaded evening dress which you could borrow! Xmas Smile

JessieEssex · 04/12/2011 09:29

River Island

JessieEssex · 04/12/2011 09:30

another River Island

Angelswings · 04/12/2011 09:31

Just bought 2 beautiful black tie dresses for under £25 at Oxfam as I couldn't decide which I liked the most. One was £15 the other under £10.

No one need know

WhatsWrongWithYou · 04/12/2011 09:38

Why have you decided you need a maxi? I don't think black tie these days necessarily means floor length - cocktail dresses always seem to be out in abundance.
I know I'd struggle to feel like 'me' in a maxi - they swamp me and I look frumpy.
Bit more expensive, but would you wear something like this?
If so, I'm sure the likes of New Look will have a cheaper version.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 04/12/2011 09:43

Black lace.
