What colour shoes to wear with navy and white dress?

Just bought a lovely navy and white spotty wrap dress that is super flattering. What colour shoes would you wear with it for work? Think navy shoes would make me look to 'Mumsy'. Brown maybe?

Today, I'm wearing a navy trouser suit with nude shoes, it looks nice.

The nude things looks lovely with nice tanned legs.

Red, for definite - lime in the summer, but not so much now, nude a bit too Middletonesque.

What about wine ? They also come in dark grey.
At the risk of being lynched, I would personally wear navy shoes. There's something about spotty fabric, I just don't like forcing another colour into the mix. But then I'm a bit boring like that...
