I need some winter boots good for walking but with a bit of heel as i am short. I have lost my way style wise the last few years, are these ok? I'm early thirties if relevant. Thanks!

They are nice - but too short in the leg and too tight for me.
Could you not do Fly London boots that are the same kind of look - but usually there are codes kicking around for them that would make them much cheaper?

snowmummy · 23/10/2011 19:45

Ooh I really like those

whostolemyname · 23/10/2011 19:49

Have you seen them in real life Tracy? I would have to order online but if they are small around the calf it might be a problem. I will google fly boots thank you!

put a around the url

I have skinny calves so waiting for Tracy to reply. Fly boots tend to be skinny fitting.

I like Fly London boots more -- but they leak.

LesserOfTwoWeevils · 24/10/2011 01:21

They're very sensible, but stylish they are not.

whostolemyname · 24/10/2011 09:06

Sensible? Eek, thats not a nice word is it. I wasn't trying for sensible!

I haven't seen them in real life - but they are tight on the models legs - so I'm guessing they will be fairly tight!
The Fly ones I have - are tight in the leg - but have a buckle on the outside - so can be lossened off a bit (which I need).
I have bought Oxygen boots before - they are almost identical - but in leather. The customer service was pretty dire when I had to return the boots - but they did say they had various 'technical' issues ie a fire - so they might be worth a try. The owner did sound a bit under pressure - but did get a full refund in the end. So he wasn't trying to rip anyone off - just not a slick operation iykwim.
