Ok I want some 'lounge' trousers. I know them as PJ bottoms...

Apologies in advance, I shouldn't be allowed near this topic area... but I want to know where I can get decent, thick, soft lounge trousers/pants.

I had a pair from Boden but after many years they really need to retire.

Looked at Boden and someone in the review said they were thin material. Where else has such garments?

I find the Biden ones lovely and thick

White company roll top ones last forever.

Meandem.co.uk for roll top ones - thinner but again last and last.

LaurieFairyCake · 30/09/2011 21:52

boden bloody auto correct

MartyrStewart · 30/09/2011 21:52

Tesco are doing lovely thick fleecy ones at the moment. But I have never posted on S&B for a reason.

AutumnWitch · 30/09/2011 22:01

Hush is the place to go. I got a pair for christmas and they're lovely and thick and excellent quality. You can bag a bargain in their sales, but they usually wait until well after everyone else.

glub · 30/09/2011 22:02

primark usually has things with thin material. lots of lounge pant type things last time i looked

glub · 30/09/2011 22:03

oh sorry just seen you want thick ones oops

Pancakeflipper · 30/09/2011 22:29

Oh I have got distracted, I am looking at suggested sites but not a loungewear. Oh no. There's far more interesting items to covert. It could get expensive.

They have fleecy ones in asda, i know not too posh but they look really cosy.

pissedrightoff · 01/10/2011 13:42

Tesco have two pairs of bottoms in their 'luxury' nightwear range.

Really thick jersey material and a nice foldover waist.

Grey marl and a taupe colour.

sloggies · 01/10/2011 16:09

Year before last (IIRC) Tesco did cashmere ones, with a hoodie to match.

fanks · 02/10/2011 19:36

I have some really comfy GAP ones.

cyb · 02/10/2011 19:40

yy to Primark, lovely pyjamary brushed fabric

OhCobblers · 02/10/2011 22:38

I have 4 pairs from Hush (all in the sale and warehouse clearance sale for £10 each!) plus the cashmere ones from Tesco (as a previous poster mentioned) which are lush!! Wished i'd bought the hoodie to match at the time!!

stonetheroses · 02/10/2011 22:51

I ordered some from Hush a couple of weeks ago. Didn't even try them on as the fabric quality was awful (for the price). They were thin and the ones I saw in Tesco were better quality imo. Maybe was just that style if others say they are good.

In fact ordered £300 of Hush stuff and all but one item went back. Quality (and synthetic fabric content in some items) not worth the £££, was very disappointed!

pissedrightoff · 03/10/2011 00:22

stonetheroses Did you get the knitted harem trousers? Were they awful?
apologies for slight hijack OP

MrsBloomingTroll · 03/10/2011 02:49

M&S Autograoh cashmere ones are uber-snuggly, got some last year. With matching hoodie!

AnnetteProfit · 03/10/2011 08:46

they are called " poorly pants"

marks and spencer have nice mens ones

azazello · 03/10/2011 11:12

Another yy to Primark. I got two pairs of lovely comfy trousers. Definitely as nice as Hush and seems so far to wash better.

Figleaves also does lounge wear and might be worth a look?

stonetheroses · 03/10/2011 14:05

pissedrightoff...didn't get those but got the slim leg joggers and they were the only item I kept from the whole order.

Fabric was thin (you can see quite a bit of light through fabric if you hold up to the light) but I liked the colour and style a lot.

Most disappointing after pj trousers was sloppy joe dress...tight round legs but baggyish on top and sleeves were short weird length...not full or 3/4!

PastGrace · 03/10/2011 14:15

I have these. Snuggest things ever. Can't find them in stock online but quite a few shops stock Princesse Tam Tam

slight hijack - any of the above suggestions do them long? I need 34" leg and it's im-bloody-possible, hate PJ bottoms swinging above my ankles

BikeRunSki · 16/11/2011 22:38

Living in my Hush roll top yoga pants post c section. Also have a pair from Gossypium.

CakeandRoses · 16/11/2011 23:30

sorry for slight hijack but can i ask when do you employ such items?

i always wear an elegant combo of PJ bottoms, cami and a sweat top round the house and i can't decide if this is just wrong or perfectly sensible. i have 2 preschoolers so it's certainly practical but is there a point when i have to wear actual clothes?
