I'm newly pregnant with number 2 and am starting to show already, at 8 wks!! Bonkers.

Anyway, I have some clothes from last time around but they are summer clothes...not chilly winter ones!

I think my jeans may still fit, I'm smaller than I was pre preg so I may need new ones otherwise I think I need:

A warm coat
A couple of knitted/warm dresses
Some tights and leggings
A jumper
Couple of tops

Has anyone seen any decent ranges?

Hi there,
I recently bought some lovely things for my pregnant sister-in-law from heavenlybump.co.uk. I think she also goes to Next.

Nevercan · 15/09/2011 20:59

I got some good value items at Dorothy Perkins and Peacocks

posey · 15/09/2011 21:03

I was in H&M today and just happened to notice a couple of really lovely jumpers in the maternity range. Lovely colours and styles. Wish there'd been a decent range of maternity clothes when I was pregnant Smile

I don't think you can beat Gap for their maternity tops. I wore them for years months after DD was born.

madmomma · 15/09/2011 22:34

Just bought my first item from Isabella Oliver and it is absolutely fab. I would now rather have 3 things from there than 6 from anywhere else. The quality is lovely, and a lot of the stuff would look good after the pregnancy too.

NinkyNonker · 16/09/2011 20:14

I love IO stuff, not sure I can justify the cost new but am keeping an eye out for offers etc. I will get more wear out of stuff this pregnancy though, I didn't start wearing mat stuff till around 20 weeks last time!

Thanks everyone, keep the suggestions coming! I don't work, so don't need worky stuff but I do want to try to look nice and not like a scruffbag.

Try eBay for IO, I have just sold all of mine on there (DD 10 weeks old)

What I will also say about IO is it holds it value very well, you tend to get c. 50% of what you paid (sometimes more) back. Also there tend to be good discount codes floating around and they have regular offers. I wore cheapy stuff throughout my first pregnancy and at times felt like a frump, wish I had just bitten the bullet as IO so flattering and stylish (for maternity wear!)

NinkyNonker · 17/09/2011 14:13

You lot are bad for my bank balance. Grin I am watching a few bits on eBay so will see how we go.

Seraphine is great, and holds its value pretty well if you want to Ebay it later. Being a cheapskate I bought mine on Ebay in the first place, and then sold it on and more or less made my money back.

You don't say how tall you are - IO is lovely but no good if you're short! I'm 5'2" and it drowned me completely.

Givemesunshine · 17/09/2011 17:07

A tip for when you buy your next bra: when you try it on, make sure there is room to put your hand into the cup as well as your breast, and that it does up on the tightest hook if you are less than 33weeks, and if poss buy a bra extension piece (maybe from a sewing shop) - that's so you can keep letting it out as you grow!

mamaGool · 17/09/2011 19:43

I have a code for New Look! 20% off this weekend = NL20K4T

mummy2munchkin · 17/09/2011 19:44

Gap has 30% off until tomorrow too, the code is on the site! :)

AlpinePony · 17/09/2011 19:48

Io is currently 17% off and as someone else said, I wish I'd splurged last time. I'm also loving crave maternity and am avoiding chainstores like the plague due to cheap and nastiness. Except next under bumps jeans, they're great!

NinkyNonker · 17/09/2011 20:00

I'm fairly tall at 5'8" with loooong legs so good for tall may be good for me.

Thanks for the codes, maybe some internet shopping is in order...

Another recommendation for IO here. Keep an eye out for their promotions - I got a load of stuff at 44% off so I'm hoping to make most of that back selling on eBay when I'm done with it.

I also liked asos maternity for fashionable bits and pieces although the quality varies enormously.

The rest of my stuff came from H&M and eBay.

NinkyNonker · 17/09/2011 20:39

44% off?! Now that would reduce the sting!
