Have just bought and love bobbi brown long wear cream eye shadow. What other bobbi brown stuff is good?

Despite my initial at paying £15 for a fairy's soupbowl of eyeshadow, I can tell it's going to last forever and it really does stay on ALL DAY! Halleluia! What else is good please and i will start saving now!!

I live their powdered eyeshadows - they blend really well and also think their bronzer, which is perfect for pale skin, is the best on the market.

I also use their gel liner (which comes in a fairy's thimble ) which is a billion time better than any liquid I have tried

i have bobbi brown cream eyeliner. it comes in a pot and lasts ages, i got it for my wedding makeup 5yrs ago and it's still going.

i also have their pencil eyeliner which is also very good, goes on nice and creamily, unlike rimmel which is like dragging an HB pencil across your eyelid. also doesn't break into a million bits when you sharpen it.

the lipsticks are also very good.

I have the corrector (under eye concelar) which is great. I want more Bobbi brown stuff but yes it's expensive!

gel eyeliner for sure. The foundation and concealer stuff is brilliant too.

Actually, I've never bought anything from BB that I wasn't 100% happy with.

I like the longwear cream shadows too. I do NOT like the bronzers at all though - horses for courses and all that, but it is like a rubbish blusher on me (patchy, doesn't last) and very sparkly.

the matte powder eyeshadows are great (love Grey which is kind of taupey) and some of the shimmer ones but not all (consistency not as good as MAC) - they are more subtle/less pigmented than MAC so more foolproof

don't rate the lip products (dry my lips out) or the cream blush (a bit sticky, MAC is better and longer lasting)

powder blush is good

tinted moisturiser (the balm one which comes in a pot) is v nice but I prefer Laura Mercier

I also like the eyeshadows, and Nectar shimmer brick and bronzer. I'm not really keen on Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser so may try the BB version next. Does it stay on well, Aquavit?

Gel eyeliner sounding good then. And perhaps the powder eyeshadows too. And the foundation. Right, christmas presents sorted for me then . Thanks all!

The gel eyeliner is def a must. If you know anyone flying with BA soon get them to get you the travel set of black and brown and a little brush. It's great value :)

The matte eyeshadow as eyebrow colour. I use Sable. Fantastic stuff!

I love the tinted moisturizer.

If you look on their website they have a store locator. There definitely is somewhere in Bath (the big independent department store?).

I hate all you people who can apply the gel eyeliner. I always make a mess of it.

I would recommend from Bobbi Brown:

Luminous Foundation
Lip & Shine. Or whatever it's called. Like lipstick with lip balm in.

There's a House of Fraser (Jollys), jane. I'm pretty sure they sell Bobbi Brown (at least they did a few years ago).

Pot Rouge is a one pot all rounder for cheeks and lips - use a fat kabuki brush to stipple it on and it will last all day.

Sheer Colour Cheek Tint in Coral will take 5 years off anyones face.

Shimmer Brick for eyes (as well as the normal one for face) - is crazy good.

I bought the Shimmer Brick for Body in Bronze about 6 years ago and it's still going strong - despite daily use on the temples, collar bones and cleavage. Worth the £60 odd quid.

Glitter lipbalm is not great - this is literally the only product of hers I haven't wanted to kiss with joy.

And her brushes are the best, bar none.

I love cream concealer and used to love pressed powder when wanted matte finish. Agree re: eyeshadows. V keen to try this gel liner. I've never had any success with liquid liner and always use brush and shadow.

Yes the gel eyeliner is good - i bought mine on a ba flight and i was pleasantly surpirsed at the price, and it could have lasted a long time, but the brushes are plain rubbish. I religiously washed mine, kept it in its sleeve and had to chuck it within about a month. I emailed BB about it, and they sent me a replacement (which was a full size and probably quite expensive) but the same thing happened. So I rate the eyeliner but not the brushes, not one bit....

yes I think the tm does stay on pretty well carciofi, though I have pretty dry skin (and top it with loose powder) so most things like that last well on me. It's very moisturising. The pot is v glam but a bit muckier than a tube tbh.

Their sales people are great too - really helpful, not pushy, give good make-overs etc. Def worth going to a counter and engaging with one!

Oh, this is very timely -- I'm off to BB for a makeover this afternoon. My instinct is to wear the stuff for a few hours and then go back to buy bits based on performance, but I do want to buy something then and there to be polite. I want to get the eyeliner from QVC because it works out cheaper, but maybe the shimmer brick would be a goer.

They made me look better than I ever dreamed possible . Damn, I can see that this could get expensive.

I notice that if you buy direct from the BB website you get a free gift for spending £50.

What do you love gel-liner-lovin' ladies do to stop your BB gel liner from drying out? Mine turns into micro-gravel after a few months. And I don't buy into that (cosmetic companies' self-serving) belief that you have to throw eye makeup out after six months.

kplondon - I don't throw out eye makeup as often as some suggest - apart from mascara, which you do need to - and as a result I have some gel liners that are def over their 1/2 decade. And some newer ones, I seem to be a collector. But mine are def nothing like gravel - they're still 100% fine. Don't take offence, but are you sure you're screwing the lid on thoroughly? Don't suppose you live anywhere especially dry and arid do you? i've honestly not ever had a problem.

Re the tinted moisturiser (tube). This is the only product of BB's that I have not been wowed by, but it's probably more do do with tinted moisturiser per se, as I think it's no better and no worse than Laura Mercier.
