Are denim skirts a big no now? How about denim skirt and long leggings with brogues???

I think brogues would be a difficult look, but I intend to wear a denim mini, leggings and boots this winter

GalaxyGuzzler · 25/08/2011 17:57

I have done denim skirt and leggings before. not keen on brouges though!

Chocamochalatte · 25/08/2011 18:06

if not brogues but not boots what else??

pamplemousserose · 25/08/2011 18:07

Chocamochalatte · 25/08/2011 18:16

Not keen on denim skirt and leggings with shoe but with boots would be ok as you can't tell they are leggings.

Pinkflipflop · 25/08/2011 18:19

I love denim skirts! this is my current favourite

I don't really tend to wear leggings underneath - but maybe worth a try.

Gillybobs · 25/08/2011 18:23

Denim skirt plus charcoal wool mix tights and boots work for me : )

Chocamochalatte · 25/08/2011 18:28

I do like boots too but thinking for this weekend... Its chucking it down one minute and boiling hot the next!!

madammecholet · 25/08/2011 19:05

I love that Karen Millen one pinkflipflop but not with leggings, chunky knit tights and boots would be better or bare with ballerinas.

Or heeled shoe boots and a skinny knit....

pamplemousserose · 25/08/2011 19:07

Converse if you have excellent legs

Chocamochalatte · 25/08/2011 22:19

Err... That'll be a no to excellent legs!

Oh Yes. One of my planned outfits for A/W is my taupe suede biker boots, plum leggings, denim skirt and a sloppy cable knit jumper in cream. oooooh I can't wait for autumn.

cheesesarnie · 25/08/2011 22:24

i do denim,leggings and depending on weather,flip flops,balleriana pumps,boots or converse.

Chocamochalatte · 25/08/2011 23:08

Ooh pissedrightoff that sounds lovely! Do you have a link to the jumper??

Maybe I need ankle boots for Autumn?

Would hve been better if I actually posted the link to my new purchase. oops

I used to own at least five denim skirts and threw them out when I turned 30 to prevent myself from turning into my mother in law

mrmistoffelees · 26/08/2011 14:29

I have this skirt and a couple similar and wear them with leggings and ballet pumps or sandals/flipflops.

I also wear them with thick grey tights, Kenly Uggs, of flat riding boots with jumpers, or vests and cardi's in Winter. I think denim skirts can look fine with leggings.

CointreauVersial · 26/08/2011 16:16

I have a denim skirt I wear with thick tights and boots in the winter.

I tried it recently with leggings and flip-flops, and felt strangely like a Thai hooker. Then I noticed DD2, aged 8, was wearing exactly the same. Blush

ggirl · 26/08/2011 16:18

barf @ denim skirt and leggings

ivykaty44 · 26/08/2011 16:21

demin skirts are very unflattering regardless of size, they just don't look right. Leggings and other skirts or dresses can look flatering and great - just not denim, it doesn't give around the bottom and looks tube like

FunnyLittleFrog · 26/08/2011 16:23

Fine with boots but not keen on the look with ballets of flip flops.

Depends on the type of denim skirt too.

This looks the same, it's not too short, above the knee... Size 12 if that helps!!
