Best handcreams?

My hands have recently started to get very dry and I have tried a couple of supermarket own brand hand creams which haven't worked at all. Can anyone recommend a decent one? Not bothered about price, just want it to do the job!

I use L'Occitane too, either the plain Shea Butter one or when my hands are really dry I use the lavender one. The latter is the only hand dream I've found that cures my hands in Autumn when they get really dry and the skin on my knuckles sometimes cracks and bleeds. Very painful until I found something that works!

I agree with The Body Shop Hemp cream suggestions. i've tried every cream from eye-wateringly expensive to super cheap and even prescription only creams for my very dry, painful, eczematous hands. just over one day of using it and they were back to normal! Espcially good under gloves while washing up

Bodyshop Hemp handcream is the best thing out there - so good they hand to bring it back after they discontinued because of the furore! It's great for men and women (no florals here!) and it lasts ages, plus bodyshop is always offering it at a discount online too - check the website!

It's not really a hand cream but I have a pot of this www.mamamio.com/uk/omega-wonder-full-rescue-balm.html in the bathroom and use it on everything, from dry hands (from washing them a lot with two little ones) to lips, elbows, even my toddler's eczema. Love it and it smells fab and lasts ages. Such a gushing Mama Mio fan it's quite embarrassing...

Definitely Body Shop Hemp handcream. It smells terrible but I only use it at night and it is the only one I have found to work on my dry-as-a-chip hands.

In the past I have found Body Shop Hemp handcream good but recently my hands have got really itchy and scratchy - like eczema - and Lansinoh has been great used at night under cotton gloves.

I might check out the Origins ginger souffle one, it sounds lush.

I swear by Norwegian one though if my hands are all cracky, but I'd like a wee tube of treat, nice-smell stuff to keep in my handbag.

Don't know about the hand cream but the Origins body souffle is lovely. Very thick, soaks in well and smells very gingery!

Avon glycerine hand and nail cream (you can buy online if you don't know a rep) - really really good on very dry hands my mil who is a plumber loves the tube I gave her and it's the only one that works for me... Only about £2 a tube and lasts ages

I have tried lots of the above and Kiehl's is the only one that really really stops my hands getting dry.

I know that this is a bit odd but udder cream is great for dry hands. You can get a prettily packaged version but the bovine version works just as well. Grin
