Please help me. Since I turned 37ish my normal deodorants just Arnt doing a good enough job As soon as it goes over 20 degrees I'm sweating and getting BO. I'm so embarrassed changing my clothes twice a day sometimes and washing in-between I use sure extra protection stick. The £5 a stick one. It's ok but on hot days it's not good enough. Can any one recommend a deoderant for people with this issue. Failing that I'm off to the doctors. :(

Mitchums also.

kyacat · 30/07/2011 18:15

triple dry. brilliant stuff!

Tortoise · 30/07/2011 18:23

Mitchems 48hr roll on is great. My 14yr old no longer stinks after a day at school!

TeaOneSugar · 30/07/2011 19:11

I use Mitchum advanced control 48 hours, it's the only one that I trust 100%.

Tortoise · 30/07/2011 19:31

teaonesugar That's the one DS1, DS2 and I use.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 30/07/2011 19:47

Mitchum. Nary a stinky pit in our house once we discovered it. It's truly amazing.

Bohica · 31/07/2011 20:08

Just felt the need to pop back & say thank you, I no longer have sweaty pits!!
Thanks to Mitchums & it was on a half price roll back in Asda so I stocked up on stick for me & spray for him.

I've had a bath, put it on & run about tidying up which would normally leave me all sweaty again but I'm totally dry Smile

Cheers for that MN'ers!

Thehusbandsatcricketagain · 31/07/2011 20:58

The only one I have found to work is dh one, lynx africa stick type thing, nothing gets through this beauty, just you smell a little masculine but that I can live with :o

MayDayChild · 31/07/2011 21:14

Driclor is evil it stings. I like triple dry from larger boots. I use that 3 times a week at night and mitcham everyday.
Trouble I find is when I get the pits under control, I tend to sweat all over my whole body instead !

plinkduet · 01/08/2011 01:14

Is this Deja Vu? I swear I saw a thread recently about mostly Mitchum deo, now here's one about mostly Driclor.

Is a new kind of advertising? Starting thread topics in appropriate forums asking for views on your favourite product, then manufacturers pay people to register on forum sites and multi-post under different IDs promoting the same product? Hmm

Sleep-deprived mums must be sitting ducks for advetisers.

HazeltheMcWitch · 01/08/2011 14:26

plinkduet, I don't think that that is true in this case. Rather I think it was a bunch of people empathising with another who has sweaty pits!

But I HATE it when people advertise by stealth.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/08/2011 14:44

Plinkduet wtf? So you can't ask for a recommendation now in case it's seen as advertising? Hmm As for the sleep deprived mums comment, could you possibly be more patronising?

bellavita · 01/08/2011 14:53

Plink - who are you? The mn police?

OP, am glad you asked the question as I am 46 this month and am struggling even with using Mitchum.

valiumredhead · 01/08/2011 15:24

DOVE 48 hr protection - really good!

AchtungBaby · 01/08/2011 15:49

Mitchum Smile.

luckylavender · 01/08/2011 15:59

I find both Mitchum and Dove do not work for me but the new Sure for men range is FABULOUS. No more sweaty armpits

lancashirewife · 01/08/2011 18:21

Pit Rok....it neutralisers the bacteria so you don't smell. Nothing ever ever worked for me before but this does. And no nasty chemicals..

I seriously thought it would never work...but its amazing no more stinky armpits!

Well, GwendolineMaryLacey , it does happen. Forums are subject to this kind of furtive advertising. It's hardly patronising to suggest we're sleep-deprived Mums though. I mean we are, aren't we..

plinkduet · 02/08/2011 01:06

bellavita .. it's a self-arbitrating site so I guess we're all 'MN police' if that's the term you prefer. Biscuit

AchtungBaby · 02/08/2011 09:00

plinkduet, maybe Mitchum et al are just really good products?

It does happen though (it's called astroturfing), so it's not a new form of advertising.

plinkduet · 02/08/2011 11:20

OK wow so it does happen. Amazing.

Bohica · 02/08/2011 22:21

Well my new deo didn't stand up to the pressure of a shift dress, to many meetings & a hot day.

My DH also said Mitchums didn't work for him.

Shell178 · 02/08/2011 22:41

For some reason the 48hr Mitchum doesn't work for me, I hated spraying it too as it smells like insect spray- it was the powder fresh one. So far the best is Sure Maximum protection but it doesn't last all day.
Having read this thread I'm going to also try Dove to see if that's any good.
