I'm looking or a new watch, don't mind spending as I think it's one of those 'Key' wardrobe items. Well that's my justification anyway..... I would really love something elegant with a black strap but no clue where to begin! Tia!

Cartier stainless steel tank francaise. Was a present 4 years ago and don't think a day goes by when I don't wear it.

Orbinator · 24/07/2011 13:21

I got a very good Bolex in Thailand for £3. Replaced battery 3 yrs later for £6. Amount of comment's I've had on it always make me Grin

Orbinator · 24/07/2011 13:24

Looks just like this but also has the date on it (couldn't live without date!)
www.rolex.com/en#/rolex-watches/explorerii/explorer-39mm-steel-m214270-0001 I prefer plain silver or black straps - simplicity is key :)

ameliagrey · 24/07/2011 14:58

Omega mini constellation in stainless brushed steel. Got it 3 years ago and love it.

skirt · 24/07/2011 15:08

a stripy swatch

gregssausageroll · 24/07/2011 16:50

DKNY watches! Same watch but one is white and the other is black.

jenniec79 · 24/07/2011 16:57

Fossil. I have one silver with blue face but when it disappeared last year I got a new 2 colour one with mother of pearl face.

The older one showed up down the sofa a week ago.

MissKittyEliza · 24/07/2011 17:27

A Gucci, large face....ladies stainless steel wristband with a large face. It's 24 yrs old.

MadStaringEyes · 24/07/2011 17:43

A mens Skagen rectangular faced one, it's thin but baggy.

Rosa · 24/07/2011 17:57

Cartier and swatch for the beach.....

Earlybird · 24/07/2011 17:59

MadStaringEyes - what does 'thin but baggy' mean?

apple99 · 24/07/2011 18:03

Tag Monaco, was a present about 4 years ago and I love it. I have always preferred to wear big watches as I am not petite at all.

CDMforever · 24/07/2011 18:20

Omega constellation.
Got it for from DH 1st christmas after we wed.
I wear it every day and don't swap it for evening wear as its sooo gorgeous and classic.
Did cost more than my first car but well worth it.

PetiteMum · 24/07/2011 18:26

I love the bolex comment LOL.....hmmmm think I might need to save up a bit longer. What the opinion on Longines?

Cartier tank watch worn since 1994. Lasting well and still in love :)

One by Guess.

carrielou2007 · 24/07/2011 18:40

I have a couple (one yellow gold with diamonds on the face, one white gold same) of rotary watches have had for a fair few years, think were about 300 each and still look lovely. I second DKNY watches, cheap enough if you want a few for diff looks and to wear everyday without worrying if you bash/scratch them, I have 3 and tend to wear the white gold with sparkly bits on, looks like a bracelet.

superv1xen · 24/07/2011 18:41

god i am utterly Envy at those of you with cartier tanks Envy

noyouhavehadawee · 24/07/2011 18:51

i have a rotary - funny enough it looks like a cartier tank! it was about £150 and it is day and night wear and is about 4 yr old.

TheLadyHare · 24/07/2011 18:54

It depends what I'm wearing, I have a chunky Breitling and a vintage gold Bulova tank with a rose gold face. I have the original bracelet but prefer to wear it with an dark brown ostrich skin strap.

pink4ever · 24/07/2011 20:14

I wear the same watch for day and night-a round faced gold coloured Tissot. Was a present from dh a few xmas ago and I love it because the numbers are big

Macaroona · 24/07/2011 20:18

A silver delicate Rotary, with a Charles Rennie Mackintosh style bracelet.

10 years old - fancy a new one but I do love it, quite difficult to replace something you've worn daily for that long!
