I don't get it either, those poor boobs. Once they've drooped, there's no getting 'em back up.

I strap mine down - I can't bear any movement whatsoever.

TheMostBeautifulPoster · 05/06/2011 14:31

im sure it acts to slow you down too Wink

To be honest I don't think bras make a huge difference, if you're going to get saggy boobs the you do. Mainly genetic and to do with how much collagen in skin I'm told.

TheMostBeautifulPoster · 05/06/2011 14:34

but it must be ncomfortable excercising in a normal bra

This obsesses me at the gym too Blush.

My boobs are compact but I have always worn a sports bra. The number of women I see jumping around with a normal bra on shocks me. They're not expensive FGS.

I wore 2 sports bra's at the gym when I was bf. Felt like Dolly Parton on the running machine when I wore just one bra.

iEmbarassedMyself · 05/06/2011 14:37

Ooh, I don't have one, but need one.
Recommend me a good one?

GilbonzoTheSecretPsychoDuck · 05/06/2011 14:39

Find me a sports bra for my already saggy 38HHs for under £25 that actually fits and I'll wear it. Until then I'll just have to keep wearing 2 bras at the same time and praying I don't get stared at.

tulpe · 05/06/2011 14:41

Not wearing a properly supportive bra can cause damage to the breast tissue causing benign lumps and untold stress. I had a lump removed which the surgeon is convinced was caused by a tear in the breast tissue/surrounding muscles during a fall when skiing. It wasn't a high impact fall either. On his advice I now always wear a proper sports bra for all activities whether it's running, power walking, exercise class or skiing.

smartyparts · 05/06/2011 14:42

I often wear 2 if I'm running. A regular bra style sports bra that does up at back with a shock absorbers bra over the top. Not even a hint of a bounce!

FrameyMcFrame · 05/06/2011 14:44

I have the shock absorber ones, they're pretty good
this one

sassyTHEFIRST · 05/06/2011 14:45

I wear 2 and have a giant shelf at front. Scary. But painfree.

tulpe · 05/06/2011 14:47

Shock Absorber is definitely my sports bra of choice. Excellent quality. Boobydoo have them starting at £30 Gilbonzo - also check out ebay as they have them new with tags from £16.

MumblingRagDoll · 05/06/2011 14:49

God no. Why tf should I truss myself up? Mens balls sag...if my tiny tits head South they will be where they want to be...they will be comfy thanks.

GilbonzoTheSecretPsychoDuck · 05/06/2011 14:52

How does the sizing compare to a normal bra? Whenever I've tried a sports bra on I've had bits of boob splaying out all over the shop, which isn't really the look I was aiming for HmmGrin

fifi25 · 05/06/2011 14:54

I have 3 kids and wear a bra all the time including in bed. I am quite chuffed with my assets and they havent drooped at all. Thats was good advice my mam gave me Grin

smartyparts · 05/06/2011 14:55

I don't get that.

I want to look after my boobs, I like them. I like that they're perky and I don't get sweaty underneath them. I don't like the sensation of them moving when I exercise.

I don't think they'll be comfy if they sag. My friends who have saggy boobs say it's really very uncomfortable.

thestringcheeseincident · 05/06/2011 14:55

Going to have to try the double bra trick. I've got the shock absorber in 4 and it's okay but I'm getting a bit of movement when running (34g)

QuickLookBusy · 05/06/2011 14:56

I always wear a sports bra for running and the gym, I find it painful otherwise.

The sizing is the same Gilbonzo although they do aim to hold in your boobs so the resulting shape is always a bit odd.

SixtyFootDoll · 05/06/2011 15:03

I wear shock absorbers and still double bag mine. Have thought about binding them flat.

MumblingRagDoll · 05/06/2011 15:05

I suppose I am not really qualified to comment as mine are teeny tiny and dont bounce around. They may sag still though.

allthefires · 05/06/2011 15:08

Gilbonzo Im exactly the same as you and found the sizing shocking TBH. Tried on everyone in the bravissimo catalogue- none fitted.

www.figleaves.com/uk/product.asp?product=Shock-Absorber-Max-Sports-Bra-Top-Level-4&product_id=BB-B4490&size=&colour=Reds

This one is great and goes up to a 40hh. I find you generally need to go up a back size in it though.

GilbonzoTheSecretPsychoDuck · 05/06/2011 15:22

Thank goodness it's not just me allthefires. I'm so sick of practically hyperventilating from the effort of trying to get everything crammed into one that is supposedly my size. I'm really loath to buy one off the internet as well as I live in France and returning them costs a fortune.

Does anyone know if a 38HH would be similar to a 40GG? Do sizes work like that?

gemmummy · 05/06/2011 15:25

bravissimo do a sports bra that helps to contain my 36J norks. However, I still double bag as my boobs can not be properly contained by only one bra when I run. here

brighthair · 05/06/2011 15:49

I am 32j and wear the Royce one from bravissimo
