I can't imagine not wearing a sports bra - doesn't it hurt?

I once saw a rather large breasted lady at the gym wearing NO BRA. She was wearing a white t shirt too and clearly had rather dark nipples.

Found it difficult to stop staring at them as they whirled around Confused

BelovedCunt · 05/06/2011 16:07

tkmax always have loads of great sports bras for a tenner or so. i also have an enell bra for running but i am too fat for it atm and got stuck in it last time i tried to wear it.

KatyMac · 05/06/2011 16:08

Just been to town to get DD one.....she is 13 & 30A

But I thought she needed one

PeppermintPanda · 05/06/2011 17:32

Personally, I value the ability to breathe when exercising rather more than any potential benefit of a sports bra. I don't think they make them in my size anyway (36AAA), and if they did it would make me look like even more like a pre-pubescent boy then I do already. Actually, I tried one that was supposed to have "discreet padding" - made me look the most peculiar shape, almost pass out whilst trying it on and virtually have to dislocate my shoulders to get it off again.

FrameyMcFrame · 05/06/2011 17:44

I'm sure wearing bras doesn't stop your boobs heading south. I've always worn well fitted bras, and sports bras plus worn them at night and I vv saggy norks I'm afraid. I'm 35 and breastfed two babies with them though. I have been told that it's genetic and my Mum and sis are the same.
I think it's natural for them to go droopy though and I don't think it looks unattractive. Just normal :)

FrameyMcFrame · 05/06/2011 17:49

Don't mean to be contentious but I do think it's fine for women to go without bras if they so wish. In the past it was thought going without a corset was disgraceful.

bigTillyMint · 05/06/2011 17:55

But it looks soooooo uncomfortable when someone well-endowed is running on the treadmill without a supportive bra.

Rosietheriveter28 · 05/06/2011 17:57

Yeah, I don't think it makes a huge deal of difference when it comes to going south - but I find the sports bra makes a huge difference to comfort / pain levels when doing high impact exercise.

EssentialFattyAcid · 05/06/2011 18:03

Fried eggers clearly have no need
As you were

Unrestrained big boobers are going to attract a lot of attention, some may enjoy it but anyway each to her own surely?

PharoahNuff · 05/06/2011 18:24

essential dont say " each to their own"!
its Against Mumnset Bye Laws

EssentialFattyAcid · 05/06/2011 18:46

Damn I didn't know that

MittzyTheMinx · 05/06/2011 18:46

I am a bit more than a fried egger Essential, but still take care of my wee assets Grin..

Will wear 2 bras when doing anything especially vigorous and have been known to do the pencil test!

EssentialFattyAcid · 05/06/2011 18:49

Rock on Mitzy
I think big boobs are very over rated, would hate to be weighed down by them myself

wildstrawberryplace · 05/06/2011 19:26

I wear 2 for sport as well - a shock absorber for support and a crop top type one over the top - sportjock are fab - for compression. No movement. I couldn't run otherwise. My boobs are voluminous and billowy after BF for 2 years.

GilbonzoTheSecretPsychoDuck · 05/06/2011 20:22

Right, I've ordered this in supersized bazookas size so fingers crossed I can strap the buggers down and stop scaring the faint hearted.

FrameyMcFrame · 05/06/2011 20:39

Yes, supersized bazookas are certainly over-rated...

Nevermind the pencil test, I'd fail a cucumber test Blush

Bunbaker · 05/06/2011 21:11

"I suppose I am not really qualified to comment as mine are teeny tiny and dont bounce around. They may sag still though."

I am 52 and mine are still as perky as they were 30years ago - and I BF for 6 months. The only advantage of being an AA cup Sad

LolaLadybird · 05/06/2011 22:00

This one is great. It is expensive but I wear it for running and nothing moves. I can't stand the feel of all that bouncing around - I was running around in the park with the DC's recently (wearing a normal bra) and was v aware of the lack of support!

BelovedCunt · 05/06/2011 22:03

my 30es hurt if not encased during activites

KristinaM · 05/06/2011 22:16

I thought sagging or lack of it was related to pregnancies, smoking, size of boobs, obesity and family history? And not bf, exercise or lack of support. But I might be wrong......

38HH and J and JJ in stock now. Not under £25 but you can't have everything

Bumperlicioso · 05/06/2011 22:22

'Assets'? Hmm

MittzyTheMinx · 06/06/2011 09:11

I am sorry Framey, I wasn't meaning to be insensitve BlushSad

Mumelie · 06/06/2011 10:17

This place does sports bras upto a 52HH
I have this one but had to buy it 2 cup sizes bigger and I still bounce out the top Blush
