Oh how I regret the fecking doughnuts. I require an evening dress for a teal-lovin' short plump girl with only herself to blame.

The dress code for the evening is - Evening dress and bling.

I am 5'3", love teal, hate yellow, tend to go for understated, and am drowning in a sea of Monsoon hates. Budget up to £200 for frock.

Help.

Oh, and I'd prefer floor length.

Edinburgh beat the shit out of me today, and whatever I google seems to be on ebay.

Help me, for I am lost, and likely to turn up in polyester.

Oh, and with regards to the rotundity, I am well rounded, but particularly juicy in the boob area.

Have pity on me, I spent most of today in Warehouse and Oasis with a thin friend.

I can't decide if this is frumpy?

FebreezeYourJeans · 03/06/2011 23:08

ooh pretty but too long perhaps?

tethersend · 03/06/2011 23:09

What size?

How about this?

Or over budget?

FebreezeYourJeans · 03/06/2011 23:09

understated and great price.

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:10

Thanks for the suggestion but do not love, sorry Grin

Did I mention I'm also difficult?

Don't be afraid to guide me away from teal, by the way. Other colours don't make me boke. Bar yellow.

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:11

To clarify, do not love was directed at frumpy first option, am now linking frantically to others.

This is where I truly love MN - when you're up a creek, paddleless, off-beat suggestions you'd never have thought of come flooding in.

Thank you thank you thank you in advance....

How about this

tethersend · 03/06/2011 23:12

Missed the full length bit. Will look.

FebreezeYourJeans · 03/06/2011 23:13

full length

FebreezeYourJeans · 03/06/2011 23:13

That last one should of course say not full length. Blush

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:15

'ooh pretty' probably fitting the bill best so far.

tethersend, can't find your over budget link but am now intriuged? (you had me at over budget)

Understated is pretty but not in my size.

OP posts:
snigger · 03/06/2011 23:16

intrigued.

I meant intrigued.

See what the lack of an evening dress can do?

OP posts:
FebreezeYourJeans · 03/06/2011 23:18

this?

EggyAllenPoe · 03/06/2011 23:20

oooh..oh.

My shopstyle has loaded up the decriptions but not the pictures. oh the anticipation. sodding 'fast' broadband.

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:20

It's not quite bling enough for the do I'm going to Febreze, but I'm ordering the Teatro linked dress additionally because I love it.

Thanks for that, now back to the party dress....!

OP posts:
tethersend · 03/06/2011 23:21

Here?

Here?

A mere ninety quid over

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:21

Feeling your pain - hamster powered internet out here in the depths of Scotland. Tis shite.

OP posts:
EggyAllenPoe · 03/06/2011 23:22

i have a page load of 'tal maxi dress' to load. 37 items remaining.

it may not be an actual maxi dress you seek, but many of the listings won't really be maxi either...

tethersend · 03/06/2011 23:23

That over budget one again: Westwood

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:24

tethersend, I know I've been off MN for donks, but we used to natter regularly - how could you wave Karen Millen at me when I am in their chunky wasteland? A KM 16 I am not Grin

OP posts:
HauntedLittleLunatic · 03/06/2011 23:25

runs away as I have no fashion sense but I like this

Selks · 03/06/2011 23:25

A change from teal - oyster evening dress, not full length this

snigger · 03/06/2011 23:27

tethersend, you bugger. I fell a bit in love with the Halston, but it's out of stock in large....
