They don't work on flat chests IME. They only fitted me when I was pregnant, I did have a couple of nice maternity ones though.

carriedababi · 28/05/2011 21:55

well yes i suppose on flat chests they could look a bit odd

I agree about flat chests. They look awful on me!

7to25 · 28/05/2011 23:00

I look horrible in wrap dresses, they sit on my huge belly and make me look like an ancient pregnant crone.

cyb · 28/05/2011 23:02

I think they are very dated. I ahve a black top shop one and keep looking at it wondering whether to wear but it looks so 1990's

ninah · 28/05/2011 23:03

no unless you are look good in a sack gorgeous anyway
mostly they look frumpy

ClenchedBottom · 28/05/2011 23:03

They can be very unforgiving.....

Mabelface · 28/05/2011 23:03

They make me look like a big boobied weeble.

cornsilks · 28/05/2011 23:03

depends - phase eight do nice ones but the isabella oliver ones have too much fabric around the boobs.

ggirl · 28/05/2011 23:04

hmm depends I have an IO one that makes my boobs look ridiculously huge

TheRedSalamander · 28/05/2011 23:07

I guess. But only if they are actual wraps and not stitched in ones, i.e. you have to thread the belt through so that you can hoik (is that even a word?) your waist/stomach in. Otherwise you can't tailor them to your shape.

CliffTumble · 28/05/2011 23:08

They certainly don't suit my Apple with big boobs shape

smartyparts · 28/05/2011 23:09

They look nice on the slim - ghastly on the fat

Mabelface · 28/05/2011 23:11

There's no hoiking in of this belly. Grin All bought and paid for though. Wink

MumblingRagDoll · 28/05/2011 23:11

I thought Kate Middleton looked a bugger in this one yesterday....too skinny...so the small boobs thing seems true to me.

cyb · 28/05/2011 23:12

oh sweet baby Moses

7to25 · 28/05/2011 23:13

rarely has a pair of trousers made me laugh so much.

NotaMopsa · 28/05/2011 23:15

i think they make all tits look awful

cornsilks · 28/05/2011 23:19

cyb those trousers are awesome. just need a camels toe to finish them off nicely

Popbiscuit · 28/05/2011 23:24

I love them...unfortunately they look horrible on me. Flat chest=gaping at the top. Plus the jersey clings to your saddlebags curves.

I wish that Jane Austen-style, ankle length, empire-waist dresses were fashionable (and practical) again. It would solve all of my body image issues wardrobe dilemmas.

YesterdaysPants · 28/05/2011 23:27

Thank you for the trousers cyb have ordered

trixymalixy · 28/05/2011 23:28

They can be a bit womanly and dull though...

cornsilks · 28/05/2011 23:29

they also flap open in the wind showing your knickers

cyb · 28/05/2011 23:30

I'm ordering these for ALLL fo you to wear with your wrap dresses
