These ones

Or these ones

I'm thinking they might be quite pretty and quite comfortable, but need guidance.

I don't like the ones
and I don't like the ones

I thought they where called fit flops Blush thats what I called them all last year

ChinnityRhino · 15/05/2011 08:22

no sorry not at all

but hey wear what you like

mrsravelstein · 15/05/2011 08:24

don't like the 1st ones with the strap, the 2nd ones are fine, and i love my fitflops, very comfortable... but don't think i'd pay the extra just to have the fancy bit on top...

MMQC · 15/05/2011 08:28

Probably true, but I couldn't find a 'Sensible shoes' topic ...

GeneHuntsMistress · 15/05/2011 08:28

Honestly? I really don't like fit flops, Ive never seen a pair that I consider not ugly. Sorry.

Out of the two you have linked, I prefer the first one.

savoycabbage · 15/05/2011 08:31

They are not attractive but if you are wearing them as you walk then that's allowed! What do you want in a shoe?

MMQC · 15/05/2011 08:46

I'm looking for something that I can walk a mile to the pub in and still look reasonable when I get there!

OP posts:
ManicAnnie · 15/05/2011 08:46

The first ones will go with more outfits.

I'm not a fan of Fit Flops, I'm afraid, but I understand they are extremely comfortable, so go for it!

Flossie69 · 15/05/2011 09:21

I actually think they look great, but am Shock at the price..........

Surely similar is available at much less ££££?

Minione · 15/05/2011 10:36

I quite like them but not at that price!

savoycabbage · 16/05/2011 02:16

Yes can you not get some converse or similar or something from clarks. They are comfy.

moondog · 16/05/2011 07:21

Fit Flops are vile as well as screaming 'I am a lazy gullibl numpty who really believes spending ££££ on a wedge of unattractive foam will shape me up.

Er...no.

DrNortherner · 16/05/2011 07:36

What moondog says.

tooworried · 16/05/2011 07:42

yEUCH and yeuch

Ambernj1 · 16/05/2011 08:30

Yes, I love them both! Unlike others here I am a fit flop devotee (all I can wear at 33 weeks pg) and while I concede they make sod all difference to the size of my arse they are super comfy and great for the back, and IMO much comfier and prettier than birkies...

Pinner35 · 16/05/2011 08:32

I like them, particularly the first pair. Might be tempted myself......

ZZZenAgain · 16/05/2011 08:32

they are quite strong - you would have to wear pared-down clothing to offset them

MMQC · 16/05/2011 10:17

So, mixed opinions then!

OP posts:
ImeldaM · 16/05/2011 10:24

Prefer first ones, although do agree with moondog about 'fitflops' in general.
Also think ChinnityRhino up thread was referring to herself, not that this thread shouldn't be in style (peacemaker emocion) Grin

MordechaiVanunu · 16/05/2011 10:25

I like them both. For just an every day casual summer shoe.

I love my fitflops. I resisted buying any for ages resenting spending so much on flipflops, but decided eventually to give them a try, and cost per wear they are the best value shoes I've ever owned.

I wore them all summer, every single day as they were so comfy I didn't want to wear anything else. (and they were/are pale silver so wnet with most stuff).

I bought them for comfort not to tone me up, surely no one believs that nonsense and buys them for that?/But if you wear flip flops a lot in the summer and want comfort for walking I'd throughly recommend.

polyhymnia · 16/05/2011 10:34

Have several Fitflops, sandals and boots, and didn't buy them for the reason moondog suggests -I agree that believing they 'shape' you does show naive credulity - but because they are very comfortable. In my experience, more comfortable than competitors, whether cheaper or not.

Have considered both those styles myself, though in the end didn't get either. Do quite like the Floretta, but think their Fiorella is prettier if you want a 'flowery' one, and just didn't particularly have a use for the Frou, though I do think they're fun. So far this season, have bought the FF Limited Edition Manyano beaded sandals, and the espadrille-like Lolla.

upahill · 16/05/2011 10:36

I love them, especially the second pair.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 16/05/2011 10:41

I think they are ugly (sorry) but if you want to walk a lot then you need the strap at the back at the feet so go for the 1st model.

AlpinePony · 16/05/2011 10:50

A new type of ugly I'm afraid. :(

Also, just a tad ironic that you want "make me fit" shoes to walk to the pub! Wink

SarkyLady · 16/05/2011 10:53

They are basically ugly shoes trying far too hard to be something they are not. And failing.
