Feet dont get at all cold in ballet bumps have a few pairs and they are flip flops for autumn winter

Parsleypants · 03/11/2005 19:03

Nay, nay and thrice nay. I had some last year and looked like Little Lord Fauntleroy. They have gone to the charity shop now.

NomDePlume · 03/11/2005 19:09

IMO, for 3/4 length trousers to be flattering they have to be worn with a heel. Otherwise even the longest, slimmest leg will be instantly 'stumpified'.

Bozza · 03/11/2005 19:33

4 pairs of boots is not really excessive is it? I have 3 that I wear (plus 2 that I don't) and am looking to buy another.

OK on the q of ballet pumps. What sort should I get? I know you lot all go on about gold and silver but think that must be a metropolitan thing - don't really see people wearing them round here. Any good ideas for some cheapish ones?

peckarollover · 03/11/2005 19:53

Primark (of all places) have some lovely ones in that are black and have a trim of gold so just enough to still be nice but not in your face gold!

codKEMP · 03/11/2005 19:54

I've just bought some nice cropped mid-calf length trousers from French Connection. I wore them at the weekend and got lots of nice compliments. They are mid brown with small pink and green dots on them, so not that tweedy, just a nice pattern really. I wear them with chunky flat boots. Don't think they're on the FCUK website though.

codKEMP · 03/11/2005 20:51

ooh rats
thanks kiki

RnBlood · 04/11/2005 07:57

They're not for short-wide-arses (like me).

I have nightmares about wearing cropped New Romantic pantaloons circa 1983, and I wasn't a wide arse than.
