gingerbear · 02/11/2005 15:13

I wear barbour jacket and a driazabone hat.
I look like an Aussie sheep farmer.

RainbowWalker · 02/11/2005 15:14

Just whacking a baseball cap on now to do the school run! I just get totally wet but don't care coz my hair doesn't frizz!

It ain't easy being a yummy mummy... always got pneumonia - but my kids friends think I'm cool

nailpolish · 02/11/2005 15:15

I don't care either --if it is raining I prefer to stay warm and dry rather that glamourous and wet!

nailpolish · 02/11/2005 15:19

but can you be glamorous and dry?

that is the question

Nailpolish - I have the opposite problem. I don't have anything sensible to wear when it rains (my parka is too warm on a day like today) so I end up being completely under dressed and soaking wet. My DH keeps going on at me to wear more sensible clothes and buy some outdoor clothes but I can't find anything I like and can afford.

Miaou · 02/11/2005 15:23

I need a wide-brimmed hat. Dh has a fab waxed cotton one with a wide brim but it's too big for me to nick

(Umbrella is OOTQ, am buggy-pusher)

so do i just wear the anorak with the hood

after all, i tell dd1 to put her hood up

I have a pink and purple waterproof coat that I bought at a horse-trials years ago. It's too long, the zip broke ages ago, and the hood is miles too big so I blunder about like a purple wet mushroom !!

Want to replace it, but can't find anything I like.

I hate brollies, someone nearly poked dd2's eye out with one the other day. i have an absolutely hideous v old waterproof coat thing, i suppose you'd call it an anorak. with optional zip in fleece. hideous. but comfy

nailpolish · 02/11/2005 15:33

yes thats what mine is like

has a zip-out fleece which i immediately removed as hate fleeces

LOL at 'mp3 pocket' and 'goggle wipe'

typical markies
