Why do ALL shoes hurt my feet :(

Grrr i am Angry and Sad again as i am every spring time that ALL shoes hurt my feet.

I am happy in winter in boots or occassionally trainers with thick socks but i seem to spend ALL summer with bleeding open wounds on my feet Sad

today i'm trying ballet flats with a small ankle strap under trousres but i'm sure i'll be blistered on my heel, even my birkies rub me on the top of my foot where the strap is.. plasters (even compede) never seem to stick to my feet and just bunch up and make it worse.

do i just need to suck it up and be brave? will my feet harden to it if i can just bear the pain? why do i see women all over the city wearing actual shoes without tears in their eyes?

I have these Skechers Go Step shoes (plain black) and the lining of the soles is called "Yoga mat" so it feels like soft and spongy for your foot. I would recommend you go to a Skechers shop and try on some pairs and see if you like how they feel. I have feet that are wide across the toes and also high arches.

Skechers have many colours and styles depending on what you want to wear them with. I sound like an advert. but I had foot pain like you until I tried these and now I don't get it at all, even after really long weeks where I'm on my feet and walking up and down stairs etc. all day.

I like Hotter and (surprisingly) New Look wide fit sandals. I have decided life is too short to wear uncomfortable shoes

I like New Look wide fit too; I have loafers and ballet pumps from there (don't wear the ballet pumps when I need to walk far, though), also bought a pair of heeled Chelsea boots from New Look (not wide fit) in the spring sales and they are comfortable.

At last - a zombie thread worth reviving! As my nan used to say, I'm a martyr to my feet. Thanks everyone for the advice and links.
