I LOVE Clarks shoes!

Have bought 3 pairs in the last month or so - needed some Spring time shoes to tide me over between boots/tights/socks phase and lovely painted toenails/sandals phase! I just know they are guaranteed to be totally comfy, sizing is usually standard (i.e they will fit!) and virtually all their shoes are leather upper and lining, a must for me.
I believe they have a reputation in some quarters for being sad, naff, old-fashioned shoes but I am a relatively hip 31-year old and I blimmin' love them! Anyone else feel the same? (she says hopefully Wink)

They don't really do it for me, but link to the ones you've bought and convert me Grin

Totally with you, OP. Clarks shoes are my guilty secret - love 'em!

TheSydenhamSet · 03/04/2011 00:41

I had a look and love the idyllic pumps! so much so i've just ordered some black ones as need new shoes!

Kuantanamera · 03/04/2011 02:07

Oh dear. I'm 53 and I wouldn't wear them (and they look plastic)

sprinklingsparkles · 03/04/2011 02:34

I wish my DD liked them when her nana was trying to buy her some! She ended up with £12 tinkerbelle trainers from a cheap shop as she hated all the clarks shoes. My dad was happy about it though. :o

GeorginaWorsley · 03/04/2011 10:51

I love Clarks shoes too!
Am choosy in what I buy,but have just had some fab pewter peep toe wedges from there.

Some of them are around £70 this time - they seem to have gone up a lot compared with other makes. I do wear them for work but think the heels always look a bit cheap.

JosieRosie · 03/04/2011 11:50

Some terribly sniffy people on this thread.....

stressheaderic and GeorginaWorsley, we're obviously the only ones with any taste! Grin

StewieGriffinsMom - service used to be awful I agree, but I went to the Marble Arch (London) branch yesterday and somebody has given the staff a kick up the bum because they were extremely attentive and helpful.

I am wearing a pair this very minute - very comfy and a friend who is faaaaaar more 'with it' than me complimented me on them :)

Bratfink · 03/04/2011 15:38

I've got a couple of their flats and both are AGONISING. They must not suit my feet

mankyscotslass · 03/04/2011 15:50

I got a pair of boots from their this winter, I love them and have worn them loads! here

There are some nice summer shoes too, but some are dire and my mum loves them Hmm Grin

surfandturf · 03/04/2011 16:15

I'm 35 and I like clarks shoes too! I recently had some boots which I wore until they had holes in them! Not so keen on the ones you have linked to Febreeze, they are a little plain for me.

FebreezeYourJeans · 03/04/2011 17:02

EEK! They weren't my link surfandturfI was just putting JosieRosie's purchases into link form.

sahminspain · 03/04/2011 18:12

I am 33 and love them after years of ripping my feet to shreds with "cheaper" shoes. They are popular and considered cool here in Spain where they are twice the price!

daimbardiva · 03/04/2011 21:10

I'm a huge Clarks fan too - there's some stuff in there I'd not be seen dead in, but a lot of it is spot on. And their sales are so good too - I very rarely buy full price. Have a few good bags from there too :)

MissRead · 03/04/2011 21:13

Some of their stuff is extremely grannyfied but lately I've seen a few things I really like - their boots are lovely and most of their shoes/boots are really comfy which is sadly one of my top priorities these days. If I can get nice as well - and I often can in there - it's a bonus :)

Meggles76 · 03/04/2011 21:51

I am not in any way 'grannified' but buy most of my shoes online from Clarks.

OrangeBernard · 03/04/2011 23:53

I like Clarks, but they are overpriced full price, some of the shoes this season are nearly the same price as campers

Meggles76 · 04/04/2011 10:51

Tons of stuff goes in to their regular sales and there are often discount codes floating about.

MissMontoya · 04/04/2011 10:53

Every summer Clarks have at least a couple of styles of sandals I love and they are always incredibly comfy. Ditto to their winter boots.

But the 'in between' Spring/Autumn shoes are generally hideous, sorry. Those comfy 'ballet' pumps are particularly vile.
