They won't laugh - they'll admire your superior colour-blocking skills Smile

I'd go for red rather than purple.

TaudrieTattoo · 26/03/2011 16:06

Probably, with help.

moondog · 26/03/2011 16:07

How fat?

An arse like an overripe tomato not generally a good look.

LindaLaPlumeDeMaTente · 26/03/2011 16:08

if they are elasticated round the waist pulling them off will be a lot easier

AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:09

size 16 18 be honest woman 20 large

also what would one wear with said red jean? i have a large collection of black T shirts.

Depends on the cut and the fit. If they fit well then I don't see why the colour matters.

I would go for purple as it isn't that big a step away from blue jeans.

AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:10

i think i'm having a mid-life crisis.

OP posts:
moondog · 26/03/2011 16:10

God no.
You will look like someone who works in a garden centre.

Regualr jeans and take yerself in hand pronto.

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/03/2011 16:10

Not a black t-shirt.

Need other bright colours I think to look 'on trend' rather than just mad woman in bright trousers.

Look on zara website - they've embraced colour blocking big-style.

rookiemater · 26/03/2011 16:12

Pink is the colour we are all aspiring too according to Saturday times, gawd knows why as I would look like a pig in pink jeans which surely should be restricted to the under 20s.

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/03/2011 16:12

I quite fancy some bright pink jeans Wink

But I do tend towards the mutton.

moondog · 26/03/2011 16:13

Yes, yes, listen to Campbell.

I take it you don't have brillo pad grey hair and wear ...interesting shoes recycled from Liberian grain sacks?
If so, you need shooting now.

AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:18

even i draw the line at pink

ok. so i don't think i could pull it off. i would look like a nob.

god i wish i was 16 and size 8 again Sad

OP posts:
AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:19

OK. if not red. what can I wear. normal jeans and black T-shirt?

And where can i get nice black T-shirts WITH SLEEVES from?

OP posts:
TaudrieTattoo · 26/03/2011 16:20

Are you sure you want to wear a black t-shirt?

Can be harsh and square making...

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/03/2011 16:22

Is black a good colour on you in the daytime close to your face?

Just asking as it does nothing for lots of women in my opinion - would navy perhaps be better?

This t-shirt is a lovely shape and nice drapey material.

RedwingWinter · 26/03/2011 16:22

Wear a plain white t-shirt instead of a black one. And the colour is fine - red or purple as you wish - but just make sure that the shape of the jean suits you and is a good fit.

IngridFletcher · 26/03/2011 16:22

I think it would depend if the top was long line thus covering the arse and tummy area. Not a black t-shirt.

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/03/2011 16:22

Look at us - the anti black t-shirt gang Wink

AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:23

i like Black T-shirts. Except like that Jigsaw one you can rarely find one with sleeves that are just that little bit longer to cover up the arm flab. I continually hunt for the perfect black T-shirt.

Butterbur · 26/03/2011 16:24

I saw a woman recently wearing a shocking pink coat, dark emerald top and purple scarf. The colours were absolutely stunning together. I can't remember much else about her outfit.

TaudrieTattoo · 26/03/2011 16:24

I know, but you do sometimes see ladies in black t shirts, and they are a bit monoboob-making and shape- wrecking.

One of those safe items that are actually less safe than red jeans.

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/03/2011 16:25

So do you want longer sleeves like this?

ExitPursuedByALamb · 26/03/2011 16:27

Where are you getting the jeans from AYC? I am a size 18/20 and really struggle to find jeans.

AtYourCervix · 26/03/2011 16:28

good length but I can't do anything 'puffy'

also £55 for a T-shirt Shock bloody hell.
