I want to buy myself a special piece of jewellery

Right, here's the thing. I have a budget of £200 - I worked hard for that money, it was a bonus relating to a particular piece of work, and I want to spend it on something for me.

I want something that reminds me of the dcs, without being overly sentimental - I was wondering about a Sweetie bracelet from Links with a couple of charms, but I'm not really a very pretty-pretty person and also every second person I see seems to be wearing them. I'd prefer something a bit chunkier, I think, and a little bit less run of the mill. I'm thinking either a bracelet or a necklace for everyday wear, rather than for very special occasions (I have special occasion jewellery...).

I have those candy rings too Mme lindt - they're lovely aren't they? If you want any more of them Cocosa is doing a monica vinader sale on friday - they always have one or two candy rings on their sales, but you have to be there spot on midday as they vanish almost immediately

I hadn't thought about Tiffany, but I do quite like their bracelets. Not crazy about the branding, but if they have something without Tiffany slapped all over it that would be great.

The Chambers and Beau stuff is lovely - the sort of thing I was after, but I wonder if it would be too informal for work. Also quite confusing trying to work out what I would have, but would be a lot of fun...

What about a pandora. Dh bought me one after having dc3 and he has added to it on special occasions. Its almost full and im thinking of a second one.
Im not really a jewellery person either, but you can make it up as you wish

I have had a business card in my purse for a while since I saw jewellery at a craft fair made from fingerprints or child's artwork. It looked nice in RL - quite small, mind - you could get charms made from each of your DCs. here

ps... if you're worried about the chambers and beau stuff being too casual you can ask Amy (the owner - I don't know her, I've just been emailing her irt my order) to help you come up with something.

I've ordered a bracelet with a family tree charm and a sequin disk with my & DH initials on one side plus wedding date on the other plus a sequin disk for my DD (and will add one for each subsequent DC) with her name on one side and birth date on the other.

If you're interested I'll let you know how it goes once I get it.

Yes, I'd prefer white gold or similar to be honest, but I guess I'm the only one who'll know it isn't! Apart from you lot anyway.

I'm not exactly a style guru, but when I was in the Natural History Museum I coveted their jewellery (and, honestly, I don't remember ever doing this over jewellery before - it's not my thing) - chunky semi-precious stones for approx £50-£200.
