just their very website and cheery irritating crap for a start.

their pregnancy style tops in curtain fabric

their a line skirts

their "Ooh so kooky" knitted tights

all together - it grates

yup same here
can't bear it

ChocChipWine · 03/03/2011 19:51

I Love White Stuff. The changing rooms in the Edinburgh store are amazing.

warthog · 03/03/2011 19:53

oh ffs there isn't a single thing that style & beauty hasn't trashed.

gahh how to make people feel shit.

my entire wardrobe has appeared on one of these I HATE threads.

i'm going to hide this topic.

brimfull · 03/03/2011 19:54

yes you can hide entire topic I think

scampadoodle · 03/03/2011 19:57

I know what you mean, Warthog. I think what you need to ask those who trash what you like, what they actually do like, then you can decide whether you trust their opinion. I mean, Gretchen might hate White Stuff but love Per Una Wink

scampadoodle · 03/03/2011 19:57

Oops! Me bolds got a bit enthusiastic there!

onepieceoflollipop · 03/03/2011 19:59

I like some of it. However the website makes me want to throw my laptop out of the window. also the shop I went to recently just had 80% tunics.

I am worried a bit. One day soon tunics may go out of fashion...what will they do then?

I have 2 tunics and that is plenty imo

Meggles76 · 03/03/2011 20:00

Now now ladies Grin
It would indeed be a boring world if we all liked the same. See other thread on here at the moment where we are all moaning about people copying our style Grin

BadPoet · 03/03/2011 20:00

I LOVE White Stuff. So much so I'll plan a special trip to the Edinburgh store for the changing rooms. (thanks ChocChipWine)

I probably don't really belong in S&B though, but there isn't a topic called 'Looking presentable'.

ChocChipWine · 03/03/2011 20:01

Ha ha scamp Grin

abdnhiker · 03/03/2011 20:02

I want a lifestyle where I can wear cute skirts and floaty tops everyday - not dress shirts for work and then wooly jumpers for playgroup in chilly halls on my days off. I wore a skirt to playgroup where I lead the singing once - it made it a bit difficult to get up and down from sitting in a circle without flashing any of the dads. (I managed, just looked awkward). Actually White stuff is some of the more wearable clothes for day to day life and they have colouring for the kids at my local shop.

ChocChipWine · 03/03/2011 20:02

BadPoet I'll join that thread...

Hulababy · 03/03/2011 20:03

I like White Stuff. I like their clothes. They fit me nicely.

Better than Boden anyway.

onepieceoflollipop · 03/03/2011 20:04

In their defence the White Stuff shop in Stratford (Warwickshire not London) had a very lovely table with drinks and custard creams the other day. Thankfully dcs weren't with me or they would have demolished the custard cream display Grin

expatinscotland · 03/03/2011 20:04

It's a rip off for mugs. Only in the UK would a company like this still be in business.

domesticslattern · 03/03/2011 20:05

Isn't a good enough reason not to patronise them, that they display Page 3 porn in the mens changing room. Sure I read that on MN somewhere.

Anyway, if you go to a birthday party round these parts, every single woman is wearing White Stuff (including me, ahem), So YANBU OP.

onepieceoflollipop · 03/03/2011 20:05

BadPoet you are onto something there. Perhaps we could have "looking presentable but looking slightly more presentable when going out for a special occasion" topic

warthog · 03/03/2011 20:07

i think we need a thread for the 'barely presentable' too. i'm 34 weeks pg and look awful. but as it's dc no. 3 and there's no way i'll have another i'm refusing to buy any more maternity clothes. so i have 1 pair of jeans and a few black t-shirts. just terrible.

Pinkflipflop · 03/03/2011 20:07

If you don't like it don't shop in it - why start a thread about it?

It used to be lovely 5, 10 yrs ago. Quality has dropped off though while prices have gone up.
